About the school

Mellervangskolen is a public school in eastern Aalborg with 440 pupils and 100 staff. The school has two tracks from 0th-9th grade with an accompanying DUS offer for students from 0-3 grade. In addition, the school has Focus classes. The Focus class has a DUS/club attached. Mellervangskolen also houses DELTA classes in the oldest department.

All teams, both in general and special education, work with a uniform approach to the implementation of DELTA-inspired learning environments and the use of visual structures across Mellervangskolen. The implementation of DELTA-inspired learning environments originates from the school's strategic plan.

The school is departmentally structured, and there is a high degree of self-management and responsibility in a committed collaboration within the team. At Mellervangskolen there is a duty to cooperate. It is therefore important that you are a team player and together with the team help create a safe, structured and predictable daily life with the children at the center.

At Mellervangskolen we have defined our shared core task, and it is the starting point for our priorities and our focus in pedagogical practice. The core task is: “At Mellervangskolen we create development opportunities for well-being and learning in delightful, binding communities with participation opportunities for all and with room for flexible solutions.” It is therefore central that you can see yourself in this formulation.

About the position

You will be attached to the Older Department which comprises grades 5-9, where you will teach:

• Danish 8a
• Co-teaching Danish 8b
• German 6b, 8a and 8b

Other subjects and support lessons may be discussed - this depends on your teaching competencies and major subjects.

You will of course be responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning processes individually and in collaboration with your team and colleagues.

We expect that you, in collaboration with your team, can

• Commit to our core task and our inclusion framework.
• Engage in close collaboration with parents and fellow team members.
• Participate in other team constellations when required.
• Work concretely and systematically with interventions at the individual and community level.
• Meet all students with relevant pedagogy and didactics.
• Work independently and in teams and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with PPR, etc.
• Bring your subject expertise into subject teams and at learning conferences.
• Navigate a sometimes unpredictable daily life with a focus on creating the best conditions and opportunities for children with special needs, within and under the available framework.

Salary and employment terms: The position is a permanent full-time employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Start date as soon as possible or after further agreement taking into account the applicant's current employment status.
