About the job

Are you a skilled jurist, and would you like to be part of Denmark's Courts?

Then you may be our new colleague in the Courts Administration's Jura and Forretning unit.

Denmark's Courts safeguard our democracy, the rule of law and the individual's legal security. The Courts Administration is part of the organisation Denmark's Courts. We develop, administer and support the work at the courts and work for law and justice.

We offer you an exciting position

  • at a development‑oriented and informal workplace with high professionalism
  • where you will have a great responsibility in an important public institution, and
  • where you will have many points of contact with the Courts Administration's other centres, the courts and external collaborators and especially the Ministry of Justice's department.

You will become part of the Jura and International Cooperation team in the Jura and Forretning unit. We have a strong professional environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results, and where job satisfaction and wellbeing are paramount. There is always a colleague you can spar with. You will report to a team manager.

What will you do?

A job in Jura and Forretning is a job close to the political environment. Your primary tasks will be:

  • Coordination of and responses to hearings on draft laws, etc., and contributions to parliamentary questions
  • Cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, including on legislative initiatives in the courts' area
  • Preparation of and management support for various meetings
  • Coordinate the responses to international hearings and data collections, including obtaining contributions from centres in the agency, the courts and other Danish authorities as well as independently analyse and disseminate the results of the international surveys nationally
  • Prepare briefing papers, notes and status papers on concrete measures, international news etc.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate hosting for visiting international delegations
  • Participate in international meetings and working groups as National Correspondent for Denmark's Courts

Many of the tasks in the team are highly complex and involve many actors both inside and outside the organisation. The international cooperation tasks will be carried out in collaboration with the international coordinator and a student. There will be between 6-10 travel days per year in Europe.

Who are you?

You are a skilled jurist (cand.jur.) with several years of experience. It is an advantage if you have experience from a ministry or another public authority.

You thrive in a busy everyday life with responsibility and large and small tasks. You are good at building relationships and collaborating with others. You are structured, can prioritise and get tasks done with high quality.

In addition we emphasise that you

  • master the legal method, can distill a case and have solutions
  • have good oral and written formulation skills in both Danish and English
  • have good collaboration skills and are adept at building good relations both internally and among external partners and stakeholders
  • thrive working across disciplines and the organisation

Salary and terms of employment

This is a maternity leave cover, and the position is therefore time-limited with an expected duration until autumn/winter 2027. Depending on your qualifications and experience you will be employed as a specialist consultant or administrative officer under the state academics agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of AC organisations.

There may optionally be an opportunity to negotiate a qualification allowance depending on your qualifications and prior experience.

The position is available for occupancy from 1 January 2027.

There is the possibility of remote work up to two days a week, when compatible with task execution.
