About the job

Are you interested in the interplay between law and digitalisation? Do you want to work with administrative-law and data protection-law compliance in IT solutions? Then you may be our future colleague in Security and Compliance.

Be part of ensuring legal anchoring in the Danish Debt Authority

In Security and Compliance we work, among other things, to ensure that the Danish Debt Authority's IT solutions are well functioning and comply with the applicable rules. One of our tasks is to perform and document legal assessments of larger and smaller IT projects, when it comes to compliance with administrative-law rules and legal safeguards.

As a digitalisation lawyer you will be a key person in ensuring that the solutions are administratively defensible and that they comply with data protection regulations.

You will work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, data experts and representatives from the Danish Debt Authority's various professional areas across the agency. You will also have close collaboration with the Development and Simplification Agency. The tasks include both legal assessment of concrete solutions and workflows as well as the development of guidelines that ensure system development is carried out in accordance with the applicable rules and in a safe manner in practice.

In all tasks, good collaboration will be crucial for success. We place emphasis on knowledge sharing, informality and high professionalism.

Examples of tasks

  • Participate in projects and ensure that legal considerations are translated into practical solutions
  • Assess larger and smaller IT solutions with regard to administrative-law and data protection law
  • Develop legal compliance documentation, e.g. administrative-law impact assessments, legality assessments and threshold analyses (assessment of the need for a DPIA)
  • Contribute to broadening the understanding of legal compliance in the digitalisation work.

An analytical and collaborative lawyer

We are looking for a lawyer with a Master of Laws (cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur.), who preferably has experience with legal assessments in connection with digitalisation and IT development. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with administrative law, data protection or general legal compliance in IT development projects. You are motivated by ensuring that digital solutions are developed in compliance with the law – and at the same time support efficient case handling.

In addition, we value that you

  • have a proactive, analytical and curious approach to your tasks, so you are always ready to think in terms of solutions.
  • are good at building and maintaining collaborative relationships and are a true team player
  • enjoy giving legal sparring to your colleagues and partners
  • are thorough in your legal method
  • can work independently and communicate positively and constructively, so your answers are simple and immediately usable for colleagues with other professional backgrounds.

About us

You will become part of the Office of Security and Compliance, located at Frederiksberg and in Trekroner and Middelfart. The office has 15 employees with educational backgrounds spanning the humanities, economics and law to IT. Since we work at different addresses, we typically try to meet in Trekroner a couple of times a month. Together we handle a broad portfolio of tasks.

In addition to work with legal compliance, we are also responsible for tasks within the security agenda such as risk management, information security and emergency preparedness, as well as tasks related to supervision, as we coordinate the agency's investigations by the National Audit Office and the Ombudsman.

Start date is 1 January 2027 or by agreement. A logical test and a personality analysis and/or case may be part of the recruitment process.

You will be employed under collective agreements in accordance with the state’s then-current collective agreement for academics (AC).

You will be employed in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with the associated agencies. The workplace is Osvald Helmuths Vej 4, Frederiksberg.
