Lecturer at VIA - Professional Bachelor's in Taxation

Professional Bachelor’s degree in Taxation works purposefully to educate professionals to work in tax and auditing, of which we can be proud. We focus on well-being, high student activity and profession-oriented, practice-oriented teaching.

We are looking for instructors who find teaching and our subject tracks interesting. Whether you are newly graduated, experienced or somewhere in between matters little. The most important is that you have the desire and the ability to work with the tasks in the subject tracks.

We believe that tax and accounting are best learned through cases and the interaction with practice, and a large part of learning occurs through work that takes place in study groups. To support the student’s learning and knowledge level, there is a focus on education and formation with a view to the student’s professional formation, which takes place in our Student Lab.

Your tasks are

• teaching and other study activities related to the basic education program
• teaching and activities at the continuing and advanced education level (Diploma in Tax)
• participation in research and development work in both the Professional Bachelor in Tax and in cross-professional contexts

Your competencies, you

• have a passion for teaching and are a good communicator
• have a relevant education
• have documented knowledge of and preferably experience with one or more of the following subject tracks
• legal method, administrative law, property law and tax administration law.
• accounting, economic method
• personal tax, corporate taxation and certain duties.

Employment terms

Your main workplace will be VIA University College, Randers Campus, Jens Otto Kraghs plads 3, 8900 Randers. As VIA is regionally based, there will be meeting activity and teaching at VIA’s other addresses. The position reports to Educational Manager Morten Dahl Bøhm.

There is talk of a full-time position, and the working hours are on average 37 hours/week.

The appointment is governed by Royal Decree no. 414 of 27 April 2025 on the job structure for teachers at higher education institutions at business academies, professional universities, Denmark’s Media and Journalism College and maritime educational institutions, as well as Royal Decree no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on lecturer qualification, lecturer assessment and docent assessment.
