About the job

Would you like to help educate the future bioanalysts for a health service where strong professional expertise is the foundation for qualified interprofessional collaboration? Then you may be our new colleague.

At the bioanalyst education at Copenhagen Professionshøjskole (KP), we are seeking an engaged assistant professor or lecturer who is passionate about teaching, guidance and educational development. We are looking for an educator who can strengthen the students' mono-disciplinary identity and at the same time develop their competencies in communication, relationship-building, ethics, interprofessional collaboration and innovation.

We believe that bioanalysts can only contribute credibly to interprofessional solutions when they also have solid knowledge of their own profession, core professional expertise and role in the health service. Therefore we are looking for an educator who can strengthen the students' understanding of both their own professional field and their interaction with other professions.

About the job

As a teacher on the bioanalyst education you will play a central role in developing and delivering teaching within interprofessional collaboration, ethics, communication and innovation with a basis in the bioanalyst profession's particular contribution to patient pathways, diagnostics and treatment.

You will become part of a professionally strong environment with around 30 dedicated teachers, technicians and researchers who collaborate to educate bioanalysts for a complex and changing health service.

We are looking for a colleague who is motivated to teach and guide students, including students who need special support, and who wishes to actively contribute to the ongoing development of the education.

Your primary tasks

  • Teaching and guidance with a special focus on interprofessional collaboration, communication, ethics and innovation based on the mono-disciplinary core of the bioanalyst profession
  • Function as a support provider for students who need special pedagogical support (SPS)
  • Mentor and supervisor for students
  • Planning, implementation and development of interprofessional teaching programs
  • Development of practice-based learning activities that connect theory, profession and clinical practice
  • Collaboration with clinical training sites and other external partners
  • Participation in the program's administrative tasks as well as contributing to ongoing quality and educational development.

About you

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Have solid knowledge of the health service and an interest in the interaction between professions, disciplinary knowledge and organizational frameworks
  • Understand that strong interprofessional collaboration presupposes a clear professional identity and a secure professional stance
  • Have an interest in or experience with interprofessional collaboration, communication and innovation processes in the health sector
  • Are keen to teach and guide students and possess strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Have experience with or an interest in working with students with different learning prerequisites
  • Can develop teaching that connects professional practice with theory and supports students' professional formation
  • Preferably have experience with or insight into the bioanalyst profession, laboratory medicine or related health fields
  • Work in a structured, independent and collaboration-oriented manner
  • Are eager to actively contribute to the development of both the educational content and pedagogical practice.

About us

You will become part of the Institute for Technological Education, which, in addition to the bioanalyst education, also houses radiographer and laboratory technician educations.

The bioanalyst education at KP is Denmark's largest bioanalyst education with 460 enrolled students. The program is located at Campus Nørrebro on Sigurdsgade together with most of the health professional educations.

Salary and conditions

You will be employed as an assistant professor or lecturer starting January 15, 2027. Working hours are 37 hours per week.

Employment is undertaken according to the applicable collective agreement in the state sector and based on Executive Order no. 414 of April 27, 2025 on the position structure for teachers at business academies, university colleges, etc. The specific collective agreement depends on your educational background and will generally be under either the Academic Collective Agreement or the Joint Agreement for LC and CO10 . There will be opportunities to negotiate qualification supplements.

If hired as an assistant professor, you will join KP's lecturer qualification program .

Employment as a lecturer requires a positive lecturer assessment under the regulations on lecturer qualification, cf. Executive Order no. 413 of April 27, 2025.

If employed as a lecturer under the old 2013-staff structure, the employment will generally be at previously centrally fixed salary and employment terms.
