Lecturer for the professional bachelor's degree in cybersecurity with governance and business profile

The job

You will primarily teach on the professional bachelor's degree in cybersecurity. Depending on your profile, you can also contribute to research and development projects as well as teaching on CBA’s other IT security programs.

IT is not only a technical area but a business-critical foundation. Your professional focus will therefore be to strengthen the students' security awareness and competences in, among other things, governance, compliance, business understanding, risk management, communication as well as analysis and reporting.

Through a practice-oriented approach you help the students achieve a holistic understanding of how theory, technology and organizational practice are interlinked, and how their knowledge can be turned into concrete value.

Your main tasks will be

• plan, conduct and evaluate practice-oriented teaching
• develop subjects, teaching courses and learning activities with colleagues based on the needs of the industry
• advise students and contribute to a cohesive, meaningful and motivating study environment
• participate in relevant research and development activities and build relationships with practice.

You will join a team of teachers who, together, plan the students' learning journeys and share knowledge about subject area, didactics and practice. We value diverse academic backgrounds and perspectives, and knowledge sharing and collaboration are an important part of everyday life. At the same time, you will be part of a large educational organization with many skilled and experienced colleagues across disciplines.

Cybersecurity education is still in development. You will therefore have real opportunities to leave your mark on the development and implementation of the subjects and the education. Our ambition is to develop the program in step with technological development and in close cooperation with the industry, focusing on both the academic and pedagogical aspects of teaching.

Your daily workspace will, as a rule, be at the academy’s campus on Nørrebro, where you will become part of a lively study environment with modern teaching facilities.

Your qualifications and competences

The right candidates may have different profiles. The decisive factor is that you are motivated to educate the cybersecurity professionals of the future and can translate your knowledge into relevant and engaging teaching.

We emphasize that you

• have a relevant education and professional experience within one or more of the areas cybersecurity, governance, compliance, business understanding, risk management, communication, analysis or reporting
• can create clear links between professional theory, technology and organizational practice
• communicate clearly and can make complex material understandable and usable for students
• thrive working independently while actively contributing to the team’s joint tasks
• are keen to develop both your subject area and your abilities as an instructor.

TTeaching experience is an advantage but not a requirement. If you have not taught before, we will provide support and an introduction to the teaching role. A relevant master's degree is an advantage.

Appointment as lecturer or associate professor

You will be appointed as a lecturer or associate professor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the position structure for business academies, etc.

If you are new to the teaching role, you will be appointed as a lecturer and participate in CBA's lecturer qualification program. It is a structured and proven program with a strong focus on your own competence development. Together with other lecturers you will, among other things, study courses and guidance, which over four years develops and strengthens your pedagogical and research competences to qualify you for an associate professorship.

The program qualifies you to prepare your associate professorship application and prepares you for the role as associate professor, where you will handle teaching and research tasks with greater independence.

Appointment as associate professor requires a positive associate professor assessment in accordance with the notice no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on associate professorship.
