About the job

Would you like to help strengthen cybersecurity in an organization where IT supports education, research and professional practice every day? In Team IT we are expanding the team with a colleague who will have a central role in governance, risk and compliance within cybersecurity.

As our new cybersecurity consultant you will be the link between security requirements, IT solutions and the practical everyday life in the organization. You will work closely with our information security consultant and other colleagues in Team IT, where system administrators and other technical specialists contribute to implementation and technical controls. Your task will be to create structure, overview and ensure progress in our cybersecurity, so policies, guidelines and controls become concrete, documented and usable in practice.

Your profile

You thrive at the intersection of cybersecurity, documentation, risk management and organizational anchoring. You do not have to be the one who configures all technical solutions yourself - but you should be able to understand security requirements well enough to translate them into clear policies, guidelines, controls and follow-up activities.

You are analytical, structured and good at creating momentum in tasks where there is a need for overview, documentation and dialogue with different professional areas. You can communicate clearly with both technical specialists and administrative staff, teachers and researchers. You want to be part of building a new function where the framework, methods, workflows and the organization shall mature over time.

You have experience with implementing CIS18 controls or the state’s technical minimum requirements for IT security and also preferably ISO 27001/27002. If you also have knowledge of information security and GDPR, that is a plus. The most important thing, however, is that you have interest and experience within cybersecurity and can translate requirements and framework into something that can be used in a busy IT organization.

Your responsibilities

The position is new, and you will therefore have the opportunity to help shape both content, priorities and working methods in collaboration with the rest of the team. The tasks will develop, but will among other things include:

  • Preparation, maintenance and further development of policies, guidelines and procedures within cybersecurity.
  • Building and documenting controls that support compliance with relevant security requirements and framework.
  • Planning and carrying out selected controls, including follow-up on observations, deviations and improvement actions.
  • Collaboration with system administrators on technical controls, where you contribute with requirements, documentation and follow-up, while the technical implementation is typically carried out in the operations environment.
  • Gap analyses, maturity assessments and follow-up in relation to CIS18, the state’s technical minimum requirements and relevant parts of ISO 27001/27002.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, decision basis and prioritization of security measures.
  • Support audit, supervisory and compliance activities with documentation and status overview.
  • Close collaboration with the information security consultant on the alignment between cybersecurity, information security, GDPR and organizational requirements.
  • Communication and awareness of security requirements and recommendations in the cybersecurity area, so they become understandable and usable for IT colleagues and other parts of the organization.
