About the job

Do you want to lead a governance area that has great significance for citizens' daily lives? Are you passionate about leadership, professional quality and cross-cutting collaboration? And would you help translate the values of the new elderly law into practice? Then you may be the person we are looking for as the head of Visitation and Aids in Syddjurs Municipality.

In Syddjurs Municipality we work to ensure that citizens experience coherence, quality and proximity in their encounters with the municipality. In the governance area we make decisions every day that have great significance for citizens' lives and opportunities.

We are seeking a leader who can head the continued development of the area and at the same time ensure stable operations with high professional quality and responsible use of resources.

As a leader you will be responsible for Visitation, where engaged multidisciplinary staff solve authority tasks in the elder care area. You will also have the overall managerial responsibility for the Assistive Devices Center, which has a professionally strong department head.

You will become part of the leadership team in Health and Elderly and report to the Health and Elderly Chief.

An area in development

The new elderly law provides opportunities to rethink support, collaboration and citizen involvement in new ways. We are already well under way with the transition and are working to strengthen a holistic approach, where the citizen's wishes, resources and life situation are the starting point.

Visitation plays a central role in the allocation of comprehensive care, assistive devices, housing changes, care and elder housing. At the same time, we are an important partner for, among others, comprehensive care, the training area, nursing, the social sector and the region.

The area is amid major changes, and it is therefore important that you have solid experience with authority work and an in-depth knowledge of visitation in the elder care area. We need a leader who understands the complexity of the authority task and can use their experience to create direction, support employees' professional development and ensure progress in the development.

A workplace with room for diversity and common solutions

In Visitation and Aids you will become part of an organization with an informal tone, short decision paths and a focus on holistic thinking and cross-sector collaboration. We value different perspectives and professional viewpoints and believe that open dialogue, mutual respect and involvement create the best solutions.

The employees want a leader who is present, clear and accessible. A leader who sees the challenges they face and takes responsibility to act on them – both when it comes to the working environment, professional issues and the organization of work. A leader who listens and involves, but who at the same time dares to make decisions and set the direction.

Your tasks

As the leader of Visitation and Aids you will be responsible for

  • Set the direction for the area's professional and organizational development.
  • Ensure stable operations, high professional and legal quality as well as legal certainty in the authority work.
  • Lead and support the implementation of the new elderly law.
  • Create good frameworks for employees and managers through clear, trusting and inclusive leadership.
  • Ensure coherence between professional ambitions, citizens' needs and the financial framework.
  • Strengthen collaboration across professional areas and sectors.
  • Translate political goals and decisions into practice.
  • Ensure continued operation and development of the Assistive Devices Center in close collaboration with the department head.
  • Actively contribute to the overall development of Health and Elderly.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced, pragmatic and relationship-driven leader who can create results through others. You view change processes as a fundamental condition and as part of the core of the leadership task, and you can stand in the cross-pressure between professionalism, service, efficiency, values and legislation.

In addition, we place emphasis on that you

  • Have experience with personnel leadership and can create following and motivation.
  • Have experience with the assistive devices area and understanding of the area's tasks and collaboration interfaces.
  • Have legal understanding and can support quality and legal certainty in the authority work.
  • Have understanding of working in a politically governed organization and can translate political decisions into practice.
  • Have financial understanding and can ensure responsible prioritization and resource use.

Would you like to help make a difference?

We are looking for a leader who can combine solid authority-related insight with clear and trustworthy leadership, and who will help ensure a well-functioning everyday life and the continued development of Visitation and Aids.

If you want to lead an area where professionalism, collaboration and leadership make a concrete difference for citizens, we look forward to hearing from you.
