Our experienced Danish- and class teacher in the group arrangement has taken on the role of leader, and therefore we need you in our 4-6E! The position starts on December 1, 2026, or as soon as possible.

Our wishes for you

  • Danish as the primary subject, in addition to Christianity and craft and design. You will also join a collaboration in a general class where you support students with special needs
  • A special education heart with experience or a strong drive to work with well-being, development and opportunities for participation for children in the field of special pedagogy
  • Pedagogical curiosity regarding what works for each individual student, and willingness to adjust your approach when daily life requires it
  • Relational competence, perseverance and building a sense of community are important keywords for you, as is classroom management and structure
  • You thrive in close team collaboration and actively contribute with reflection and development of practice
  • You are a trained teacher and preferably with teaching experience within the specialized area and students with special needs

What you will meet with us

At Lillevang School we are focused on deploying our many specialized competencies in the general school setting. This position therefore combines hours in the group arrangement and supported hours for students with special needs in the general part.

In the group arrangement we have a children’s group that thrives best in close, predictable and safe environments. We therefore have a close cross-disciplinary collaboration with competent educators, school leadership and PPR, where we together find the best solutions.

We are a workplace that combines the intimate special offer with the professional and social community at a general public school.

In Allerød Municipality we work from our Child and Youth Policy with the underlying view on children and learning.

About the Group Arrangement

The group arrangement at Lillevang School is for students with general learning difficulties and other cognitive functional impairments. Students need a calm, clear and visually structured learning environment.

A teaching approach that builds on strengths but also specifically trains what is challenging in small steps. So the students feel that they develop and contribute meaningfully to a learning community. There is an overarching need for repetition and a slower pace of learning. Students need support for emotional regulation and social well-being.

We are passionate about giving students the best opportunities to realize their potential. You will – in close collaboration with the team – plan and organize the teaching based on the individual student’s prerequisites and developmental potential.

You will become part of a committed core team that plans and develops together. We are in the process of a development program with Nordic Learning, where the team and leadership gain knowledge and competencies in CO-teaching and neuro-pedagogy through courses and action-learning programs. In the group arrangement, most lessons involve one teacher and one educator.

We focus on participation opportunities for all students, and the team works closely with the year groups in the general area on traditions, immersion weeks and inclusion opportunities. This creates a broad workplace community anchored in the entire department and in the combined special classes across both sites. The team has supervision and sparring from PPR and other relevant professionals.
