About the job

In Herlev Municipality we are making a substantial push for the primary school and investing 21 million DKK annually in the municipal schools from 2026. The funds go, among other things, to a two-teacher system in Danish and mathematics, competence development, and more adults in after-school care (SFO) and the club. This gives you better framework to run high-quality activities and build strong relationships. And thereby make a difference for the children in school, SFO, and club.

Additionally, from this school year we have established local schools on each plot with close and attentive leadership and a strong local community.

Would you like to help create the very best framework for a fun and exciting club day in close collaboration with colleagues and management? Then you should read on here.

We are looking for a relationship-building pedagogue for Lindehøjskolen's club.

About the school

Our school is an attractive school that is housed on one site. Lindehøjskolen is one of five municipal schools in Herlev Municipality, with just over 900 pupils and about 110 staff. The school is a four-track school. At Lindehøjskolen we work on the basis that all children do the right thing if they can, and we continuously develop measures to support our visions of the children’s learning, well-being and formation. We are well underway in becoming good at working in professional learning communities.

You will become part of PLF in the club. PLF is a pedagogical learning community where you, in collaboration with your colleagues, develop your practice.

The school is divided into early years, middle years and upper years. We have the after-school program (SFO) on the school site and the club a few minutes’ walk away. Lindehøjskolens club is for children in 4th–6th grade. There are about 250 members. There are 8 pedagogues employed, of whom 3 are also school pedagogues.

About the position

We are looking for a contact pedagogue who receives the children when they come to the club, follows up with children who need help integrating into a community, and creates community-building activities with the children.

We work with activity-based tasks in the club. Each staff member is responsible for creating fun, educational, community-building and exciting activities for and in collaboration with the children. You will work closely with the club’s pedagogues, the school’s teachers and the leadership. In the club your duties will be during the club’s opening hours Monday to Friday from 12:45-17 and one evening until 20:00.

In addition, you will have hours during school time in the middle years. Your task as a school pedagogue includes, among other things, being the link between school and club, as well as helping and guiding the students so they feel part of the academic and social community during school and club time.

We are looking for you who

  • meets children and adults with curiosity, respect and warmth
  • can create safe relationships and framework in which children thrive and develop
  • are proactive and curious in a way that engages children in their activities

  • work from an appreciative child perspective and see opportunities rather than limitations
  • thrive in close collaboration with both pedagogues and teachers
  • have ambitions – for both the children, yourself and the community

Whether you are newly educated or experienced is not the most important. The most important for us is not how many years you have worked – but that you have heart and a desire to be an active part of the community.

You get

With us you get

  • a workplace with room for both people and ideas
