Logistics Assistant to Squadron 560 at the Air Defence Wing at Skalstrup Air Station

Air Defence Wing at Flyvestation Skalstrup is growing rapidly and is looking for a logistics assistant for a professional position without managerial responsibility. You will become part of the squadron's supply element and work closely with a logistics officer and other colleagues in Eskadrille 560.

About us

The Air Defence Wing is in the process of building Denmark's new ground-based air defence. The Parliament has decided that the Defence should acquire a minimum of four mobile air defence missile systems, and the headquarters is located at Flyvestation Skalstrup.

We are in an exciting and highly prioritized development phase where we must establish structures, warehouses, materiel, and processes that support the operational use of the systems. You will be an important part of this build.

About the position

As a logistics assistant you will be part of Eskadrille 560 and will have a central role in daily logistical support. You will work with stock control, material management, authorized stock, MDG cases, standardization and improvement of logistics processes and streamlining of the supply service.

You will join both larger groups and small autonomous teams with responsibility for the logistical build-out and support of the systems that will ensure the operational use of the weapon systems. In the beginning there will be a large task in building initial warehouses and establishing Air Defence Wing with materiel.

The position is technical without management. You will have responsibility for your tasks, but not for personnel.

About you

We imagine that you have a background as a logistics assistant, warehouse operator, staff helper, or similar. You have experience with stock management, inventory control, or materiel administration.

We would like you to have knowledge of DeMars (authorised stock, stock, maintenance), but it is not a requirement.

You work independently, is structured and can prioritise your tasks and thrive in a developing environment and can handle a daily life without fixed frameworks and have an open and proactive mindset.

It is an advantage if you have a driving license category B, BE, C, CE as well as a forklift certificate.

If you do not have the necessary logistical education, you will have the opportunity to complete it during the employment.

There may be periods of increased activity in connection with the establishment of the Air Defence Wing. We offer good development opportunities, flexible frameworks and access to relevant courses and skill development.

Terms of employment

The position is advertised broadly and can be applied for by both military and civilian candidates.

You will be employed in accordance with the applicable collective agreement at any given time.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. There is an employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is at Flyvestation Skalstrup.

As an employee within the Ministry of Defence’s area, you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment period.

You have, as an employee, an obligation to render service outside the country, including at units in international operations with the aim of participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peacebuilding, humanitarian and other similar operations.

About Air Defence Wing

Air Defence Wing is a new unit in the Air Force with responsibility for Denmark’s ground-based air defence. We are building a completely new capacity based at Flyvestation Skalstrup – formerly the home of the air defence – and follow the Air Force’s wing structure with groups for support, operations, and logistics.

Our task is to plan, implement and operate the ground-based air defence and at the same time recruit and train the personnel behind the capacity. In the coming years we will establish both temporary and permanent solutions, and many exciting career opportunities will arise along the way.
