About the job

Would you like to help make a difference for people with acquired brain injury? We are seeking two engaged speech-language pathologists for permanent positions who want to work in a highly specialized neurorehabilitation environment where professional development, multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centered pathways are in focus.

The positions are available for filling as of January 1, 2027. The positions are, as a rule, 37 hours per week.

You are educated with a cand.mag. in audiology and speech pathology or are on track to complete the degree. Experience with neurorehabilitation is an advantage but not a prerequisite. The most important is that you are curious about the field and motivated to work with patients with severe acquired brain injuries in the early rehabilitation phase.

We also envision that you

  • are eager to work with complex patient pathways and communicative functional impairments
  • thrive with independent responsibility as well as planning and coordinating your own work day
  • can handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain overview
  • wish to contribute actively to both mono-disciplinary discussions and shared task solving
  • are motivated to join a strong multidisciplinary work environment at a hospital

With us, reflection on one’s own practice is a natural part of everyday life, and we actively support each other’s professional development through sparring and knowledge sharing.

About the role

As a speech-language pathologist you will be part of an interdisciplinary team consisting of doctors, neuropsychologists, occupational and physical therapists, and nursing staff.

Your primary tasks will be

  • assessment and diagnosis of communication disorders
  • assessment and training of speech, language and communication functions
  • advice and guidance for patients, relatives and staff
  • participation in multidisciplinary rehabilitation pathways

The target group includes both children and adults with acquired brain injury.

We value staff who have an interest in research, teaching and development of the logopedic practice, and who wish to contribute to the ongoing development of the field.

A workplace in development

The speech-language pathology function, in addition to Hammel Neurocenter, includes close collaboration with 24-hour Rehabilitation Hammel and Horsens. This service will, as part of the health reform, become part of Hammel Neurocenter as of January 1, 2027.

Tasks across sites and patient pathways are solved collectively by the speech-language pathology team, and it is therefore important that you are willing to participate in a flexible and joint task solving.

We offer

  • an engaged and professionally strong group of speech-language pathologists, consisting of 8 audiolinguists
  • a thorough introduction program and ongoing mono- and cross-disciplinary sparring
  • flexible framework and opportunity to influence the arrangement of your own work day
  • good opportunities for professional development, teaching and skill building
  • dedicated colleagues and a strong multidisciplinary collaboration
  • a work environment characterized by recognition, open dialogue and shared responsibility for well-being

With us, high professional standards go hand in hand with a strong sense of community. We emphasize collaboration, development and a work environment where we succeed together in creating the best rehabilitation pathways for the patients.
