Academic profile

We are primarily looking for a teacher who has Danish as a major subject, preferably in combination with language subjects and/or science subjects.

The good local school

Maribo School consists of the Blæsenborg and Borgerskole departments with a total of 470 pupils from 0th to 10th grade, as well as SFO at Blæsenborg. There are 75 capable and engaged staff – all working to create a good local school, where there is respect for each other’s professionalities and good collaboration. Your place of employment will be the Borgerskole department.

In the Borgerskole department there are 200 pupils from 7th to 10th grade and about 30 staff. Here we have a clear goal to make our students as capable as they can become. This both in a development/character-building and educational perspective. We believe in community, and that all people do the best they can. Therefore we place relationships and each individual’s well-being high in our work, so that in the future we will also be an attractive place for students, for parents and for staff.

Your everyday

We are organized around teams around year groups, classes and subjects, which means you always have a sparring partner nearby. If you are a recent graduate you will receive a mentor, and otherwise we have a broad range of advisors you can use for professional sparring. We emphasize joint preparation, just as there is individual preparation that you can arrange yourself. There are individual preparation spaces for the staff, as well as a common staff room where we meet for meetings, breaks and social gatherings. There is always good support for social events within the staff group.

Good opportunities in Lolland Municipality

We give newly qualified teachers two extra pay steps in the first 4 years, and in addition we offer all teachers flexible working hours, where there is as a rule presence for teaching, team and staff meetings, while the allocation of individual preparation is up to the individual employee.

We want to help newly qualified teachers get a good start and therefore support with an external mentoring program that links theory and practice. The mentoring program includes three workshops, five coaching hours with a mentor and the possibility of networking with other newly qualified teachers.

Salary and employment terms

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement and according to the principles of local salary formation.

The position is expected to be placed within an overall salary range of approximately 37,988 – 46,622 DKK per month excluding pension and allowances. In addition, there is pension at 17.30% and a flexible benefits at 1.64% plus any qualification-, function- and genetillæg allowances.

Please note that a child and criminal record check will be obtained for the person offered the position.

The position is full-time and expected to be filled by 1 December 2026.
