Maternity leave substitute as a consultant for the Center for Children and Youth

Centre for Children and Youth is seeking an AC consultant for 37 hours from January 1, 2027. As an AC consultant you will have a coordinating responsibility and take responsibility for the whole while also being a doer of initiatives and tasks. Professionally, the tasks range from project coordination, management support, support for implementation tasks and general consultancy on the area.

You will have close collaboration with the top management of the day-care area, which consists of the day-care chief, area manager for day care, head of childminding and head of the Centre for Children and Youth, and you will have the opportunity to be close to the strategic development of the day-care area in Aalborg Municipality.

About you

• You have experience with administration, management support and project coordination in a politically led organization, for example from previous employment or internship programs
• You are prepared and eager to support the day-care management in a politically led organization
• You have a relevant higher education degree targeting public administration
• You are able to build and create professional collaboration and networking relationships
• You are independent and development-oriented, but not afraid to ask questions
• You are a good colleague who knows that no one succeeds alone
• You can maintain an overview in many simultaneous tasks and work well with several deadlines

The tasks

The final composition of tasks will depend on the profile hired for the job. Overall you will among other things focus on the following duties:

• Support for the day-care management in development and implementation tasks
• Project management of internal and external projects including the Upgrading/Qualification Fund
• Support the day-care management in the preparation and conduct of meetings
• Coordination, development and facilitation of larger meetings in the day-care area
• Diverse ad-hoc tasks

You will become part of the AC consultant group together with two colleagues from the day-care area and two colleagues from the school area.

Centre for Children and Youth

The Centre for Children and Youth is a supporting function in the Department of Children and Youth in Aalborg Municipality, which works across day care and school. The employees are distributed across teams in Language & Integration, Place Allocation, Consultancy team for day care and schools, Inspection and Private Childcare Team, and the Development Consultancy Team.
