Maternity leave substitute for teaching position at Nymarken School & Børnehus

We are seeking a teacher who can teach English, Visual Arts, HDS and music at our middle grades.

The position is full-time, and we hire with commencement on 11 November 2026 or by agreement.

You will become a teacher at a school with a skilled and engaged staff who are focused on creating the best framework for learning and well-being for students and children, and you will be part of a team-based collaboration that prioritizes a positive supportive approach highly in daily teaching.

If you are unsure whether you can cover the whole subject range, apply anyway, and if you are a student with music as your major, it may be that we have 8 weekly music lessons for you.

About Nymarken School and Daycare

Nymarken School & Daycare (0th to 9th grade) consists of a school, after-school program and kindergarten. The school is also a feeder school for the nearby Marslev School & Daycare. The school has 2 tracks in the upper school and 1 track in the other grades.

Nymarken School and Daycare constitutes a natural gathering point for the local community and associations, and there is strong and engaged support from the local area to ensure the area's children the best possible school and day care. The school has good cooperation with parents and other actors around the school.

In this school year we have a particular focus on Co-Teaching and establishment of intermediary forms. Furthermore, the school participates in a collaboration with the Social Agency and the other schools in Kerteminde on the implementation of the tool ”Hjernen og Hjertet” so that it can function within the school as a tool that can help promote student well-being.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement for teachers and others in the public school system and for adults in special education, entered into between KL and DLF. The position is classified as a teacher for 37 hours.

Expected salary range: 37,600 - 43,850 per month excluding employer-paid pension, flex benefits and holiday allowance. Local allowances, qualification-, function- and genetic allowances may apply. The final salary determination is based on your qualifications and previous work experience after concrete negotiation with the relevant trade union.
