Mathematics teacher for 2nd grade at Vadgård School

We are looking for a mathematics teacher for our two lovely classes in the second year group.

At our school there is room to breathe, good spirits, and you are always working with others to solve the tasks – whether it concerns your teaching tasks, or your students' learning and well-being, or collaboration with your students' parents.

Right now we are in the middle of a gigantic investment in our municipality, which means that from the summer break we will have a full co-teaching arrangement in all subjects for 0.-3. year group. And we also expect to be able to arrange the same for Danish and mathematics teaching in the 4.-9. year group.

So you still have the opportunity to come along and experience a completely new era at our school, where there will always be a teaching colleague to teach with in mathematics teaching.

But until then we can still promise you that you will always be working with others on your teaching at our school.

Support and sparring as a new teacher at our school

As a teacher in the second year group you will experience that your subject leader will be close to you and spar with you about your tasks. Your subject leader will also be close to your year-group team in the second year group, which will welcome you and ensure that you receive all the support and assistance you will need as a new teacher at our school.

As a newly employed teacher you will also be assigned a mentor, who is one of your teaching colleagues, and who will be able to help and guide you so you can get off to a good start.

And if you are a newly qualified teacher, you will have reduced teaching time, and you will have extra time for preparing your teaching.

Finally, as a new mathematics teacher at our school you will become part of our professional mathematics community, where our two mathematics mentors will follow you closely and spar with you about your teaching.

Who are we?

We are a school where there is close and well-functioning cooperation between the school’s pedagogical staff and leadership. We have a good working environment and we share the responsibility for developing our ambitious goals for our school. In that perspective we are a school where clear and safe frameworks have been created to be able to work as a teacher.

Our school is two- and three-streamed and consists of 650 pupils and 85 teachers and pedagogues. The school is divided into two divisions: 0.-5th grade and 6.-9th grade, an reception class department, after-school care and a school club.

Our pedagogical work is based on strong professional learning communities, where all teachers are attached to a self-managing year group team and a subject team, where you can support, inspire and strengthen each other in relation to the division of tasks and the planning of teaching. The team will thus be your safe starting point for everything you do as a teacher at our school.

Since 2012 we have been a PALS school, where we have a shared methodological understanding of how we create strong student communities, conduct good classroom management and, in general, maintain and develop the good student well-being at our school.

We believe that all students and classes need to be led by teachers who meet their students with a positive view of their strengths, and who can guide and show them how they can become even better – in terms of personal development, social responsibility towards their class community and not least their academic learning and development. All of this related to our identity as a PALS school.

We are therefore looking for a teacher who
