Staff at Amager Strand Leisure Centre (temporary position)

Fritidscenter Amager Strand is seeking a 32-hour-per-week substitute for a fixed-term position in the department Sejlklubben and Det Maritime Ungdomshus. You should therefore enjoy maritime activities and the outdoors, alongside all the other things that characterize a leisure and junior club.

About us

Fritidscenter Amager Strand is a leisure center consisting of four sites located in the southeast part of Amager, and we have both a leisure club, a junior club, and Ungeværk. The position here is primarily in our department at Amager Strandvej 11-13 – The Sailing Club and the Maritime Youth House. The department is located by the Øresund, so part of the activities with the children and youths include maritime activities such as bathing/swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, snorkel diving and much more.

We also have many other activities associated with leisure clubs, such as a creative workshop, gaming room, bonfire area, cooking, games, etc., but it is advantageous if you have experience using the sea and water as an educational activity, and at a minimum can see yourself in this field.

In addition to work in the leisure and junior club, you will also work as an instructor on the maritime programs we have for schools and groups in Det Maritime Ungdomshus. If you are not already an instructor or do not have safety courses in canoe, kayak and SUP and have a valid Open-Water Instructor exam, you should be prepared to take it through us.

You will become part of a competent staff group with high professionalism, and we place a high value on good collegiality. In addition to the department's staff, you will also be a colleague to the staff in the other departments of the center, and here we also value professionalism and collegiality highly – across departments as well. In connection with the junior club we have JK evenings twice a week, where staff and junior club children from three departments gather and cook and do activities together across departments.

We have had the opportunity to advertise this position because we have a colleague on leave until October 1, 2027, so it is fixed-term until that date. If you can see yourself in the above and would like to be part of our team for about a year, we would love to hear from you.

Employment terms

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Start on December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. In connection with the employment we will obtain criminal and child-related background checks.
