About the job

Do you have the rhythm in your body and the sense of community in your heart?

The after-school club & youth house Hampen in Ølstykke is seeking an engaged employee with a passion for dance, sport and movement – 32 hours per week.

Do you love dancing, initiating activities and creating experiences that bring children and young people together? Do you have energy, good ideas and a desire to make a difference? And can you get both the dance-loving and the a little more reserved person on the floor?

Then it might be you we are looking for!

Welcome to Hampen!

We are an active after-school club and a youth house on the same site in Ølstykke with around 315 registered children from 4th to 7th grade and 12 dedicated employees.

Hampen has access to one of the largest sites in Egedal Municipality for leisure activities. Here everyday life is filled with sport, dance, music, role-playing, creative workshops, gaming, 3D printing, rabbits, baking and much more.

We also have a large dance hall with mirrors and sound system , where you get the opportunity to develop and put your own mark on the dance activities.

With us, the activities are more than just activities. We use them to create relationships, strengthen communities and give all children the opportunity to be part of something. At the same time we prioritise a close and trusting collaboration with parents.

From the dance room to the big stages!

At Hampen we love to create big experiences together with the children!

Every year we host our own MGP with four performances and around 500 spectators , where singers, musicians, dancers and the technical team create a big show together.

We also practise towards our Club Festival , have previously performed at Clubs’ Day on the Tivoli stage and every year host a Christmas show with over 100 participating family members .

As our new dance staff member you will have an important role in developing the dance activities and creating experiences that the children remember!

Dancing, sport and movement will be your home turf

You will become part of our sports team and play a central role in dance instruction and the other sport and movement activities.

We imagine that you

  • Have experience with dance and a desire to teach children and young people.
  • Can develop choreographies and dance pieces for our shows.
  • Are enthusiastic about sport and movement and actively participate in the activities.
  • Can motivate children with different interests and starting points.
  • Use activities to create relationships, well-being and strong communities.
  • Have an eye for children who are on the edge of the community.
  • Value good and constructive cooperation with parents highly.

Who are you?

You may be educated as a pedagog (teacher). You may also have experience as a dance instructor, sports coach or from club life.

A pedagogical education is an advantage, but not a requirement.

We are primarily looking for a person with energy, engagement and a willingness to take initiative. You meet children at eye level, dare to put yourself in play and have humor and courage to try new ideas.

What do you get with us?

You will become part of a harmonious and engaged staff group with space to breathe, a good tone and strong collaboration .

We welcome new colleagues, help each other and work openly and constructively with the challenges that may arise. Our management values flexibility, trust and room for the individual employee.

You will receive good facilities, the opportunity to develop your own ideas and an active role in our large events.

Hampen is also part of Club Egedal , which consists of eight leisure clubs with around 1,900 children. It provides opportunities for collaboration and inspiration across the clubs.
