Medical Diseases at SUH, Nykøbing F currently offers a unique opportunity for employment in Cardiac diseases, ward and clinic, for you who already are a specialist in, for example, anaesthesiology, emergency medicine or internal medical specialty.

We are seeking a physician with Danish, Swedish or Norwegian specialist recognition within anaesthesiology, emergency medicine or another relevant clinical medical specialty, who would like to work within the cardiological area and who is motivated to upskill within the field.

You will be employed as a specialist or chief physician, depending on seniority and qualifications, and the department offers a comprehensive onboarding program as well as a personally tailored professional development program.

As you develop professionally within the area, you will function on equal footing together with the department's other senior physicians.

It is a new initiative with a view to giving specialists the opportunity to move into other fields than their original specialty. We believe this can be generally necessary in relation to doctors’ job opportunities, and we also think that in some places it may help to create a new dynamic within the specialties.

The right candidate is of course motivated to upskill within the area, and the department will help with optimal opportunities for it to succeed.

The position includes duties in rounds, outpatient activity and medical on-call shifts, adapted to your clinical competences and ongoing professional development.

About us

Medical Diseases, SUH, Nykøbing F consists of four units: Respiratory Diseases, Gastro-, Intestinal and Liver Diseases, Cardiac Diseases and Geriatric Diseases.

Cardiology, ward has 30 beds in the hospital’s newest building, we have modern equipment and a clinic with substantial activity, where among other things TTE and ECHO and cardiac CT are performed.

We have autonomous nursing clinics within hypertension, lipid disorders and heart failure.

We are a workplace with skilled and engaged staff.

The ward consists of 20 doctors, including doctors in the main training program in cardiology, and introductory doctors in rotation with the other medical specialties.

The hospital collaborates with the University of Copenhagen and contributes to teaching of medical students who have clinical placements at the hospital. Cardiology has two lecturers, and contributes to national and regional research projects.

The ward has undergone a strong development over the past year and presents as a strong team. We have a great passion for the specialty, and Cardiology has a good reputation as a teaching hospital for doctors.

The ward leadership consists of a chief physician and two senior ward nurses, who report to the head physician and the chief nurse.

Our expectations of you

• You are a specialist in anaesthesiology, emergency medicine or another relevant clinical medical specialty with Danish, Swedish or Norwegian specialist recognition
• You are motivated to acquire specialist skills within cardiology
• Language: You master Danish, Swedish or Norwegian in writing and speech
• You are positive and collaborative and seek solutions to new problems

Salary and terms of employment

Starting salary for employees under collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally set allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement.
