MEP Engineer / MEP Manager – design coordination, procurement and project execution

Are you an experienced MEP engineer, and would you like to play a central role in the preparation and execution of a large international wastewater project?

Munck Civil Engineering is seeking an experienced MEP engineer or MEP Manager to handle design coordination, technical procurement and preparation for execution as well as coordination and supervision when construction begins.

You will from the start work closely with our project team and the specialized subcontractor responsible for the design of the wastewater treatment plant.

About the project

Munck Civil Engineering is leading the construction of a modern wastewater treatment plant based on trickling filter technology in Faisalabad, Pakistan. The project aims to improve wastewater management, reduce pollution and contribute to more sustainable infrastructure in the region.

The project includes extensive earthworks and concrete works, a 3 km inlet pipeline, a 10 km outlet pipeline, several technical buildings and a disposal area. The total civil and MEP works are expected to be completed over approximately three years.

Your role

You will be the central link within MEP between Munck's project team, the designing subcontractor, suppliers and other project participants.

In the initial phase your focus will be to coordinate the MEP design, contribute to procurement and ensure that technical requirements and interfaces are clarified before construction begins. The subcontractor is responsible for the plant’s design, while you from Munck’s side coordinate, review and follow up on the MEP deliveries.

When the project enters the execution phase, your tasks will also include coordination and supervision of installation, testing, commissioning and handover.

Work location

The work location will be in Denmark during the design, procurement and preparation phase. When construction starts, the work location may be in Denmark and/or Pakistan, depending on the project’s needs and the agreed allocation of tasks and responsibilities. The role during this phase could include work on the construction site in Faisalabad.

Your primary tasks

• Coordinate MEP design and deliveries with the subcontractor and ensure alignment with contract requirements, schedule and civil works.
• Review technical documentation and coordinate interfaces between process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and plant.
• Contribute to procurement of MEP equipment and subcontracts, including technical specifications, tender materials, clarification of offers and technical evaluation.
• Follow up on documentation, approvals, production and delivery times with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare the MEP works for execution, including installation planning, sequencing and coordination with the rest of the project team.
• Coordinate and supervise installation, testing, commissioning and handover in the execution phase.
• Participate in technical meetings and help solve design, procurement and execution challenges with a focus on quality, safety and environment.

Your qualifications

• You are educated as a mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, electromechanical engineer or have a corresponding technical education.
• You have at least five years of relevant professional experience, preferably from water, wastewater, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• You have experience with MEP design coordination, technical procurement or project execution, as well as solid knowledge of pumps, piping systems, electrical installations, instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience with supervision, installation and commissioning is an advantage.
• You are used to reviewing technical documentation and coordinating specialized subcontractors and suppliers.
• Experience from international projects and knowledge of relevant European and American standards is also an advantage.
• You are fluent in English, written and spoken.
