As a social- and health care assistant trainee you will receive a practical and theoretical training. You will learn to provide professional care, nursing and collaborate closely with other professionals to maintain or enhance the quality of life for citizens with multiple illnesses. In Svendborg Municipality, work is based on the concept of person-centered care in citizen pathways.

Your education alternates between school and on-the-job training .

You will train at nursing homes, home care, psychiatry and somatics at the hospital.

You will have the opportunity to work in the municipality, in psychiatry, at the hospital or in medical practice, etc.

The education takes place at the SOSU school in Svendborg or Odense. Most students we hire prefer education at the school in Svendborg.

At each training site you will be assigned a Training Supervisor, who together with you is responsible for your training. The training supervisor supports you, follows up on your citizen pathways, as well as your goals for the training period.

You have weekly study hours and guidance with feedback for you.

We also emphasize that you are ready to participate in work communities with a desire to learn and develop professionally and personally. In addition, an interest in working with new welfare technologies, cross-disciplinary in teams, and with the citizen as the most important and closest partner is expected.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement

Ordinary trainee wage ;

Step 1 15,822.54 DKK / month Step 2 18,026.45 DKK / month.

Adult trainee wage ; 25,121.92 DKK/month.

Adult apprentice wage ; 25,121.92 DKK / month

You receive pay throughout the training, both when you are in on-the-job training and at school.

Your working time is 37 hours per week. You should expect preparation at home for school and training periods. You take holidays according to the school and training plan.

You attach your social- and health care assistant certificate and an updated CV, as well as a motivated application. Des also sent is the education plan from the Sosu-school, which describes what you are missing for the SSA education.
