About the job

Are you passionate about the well-being of 0–3-year-olds? Do you thrive in close relationships where care, presence and security are the foundation for the children’s development? And can you see the value in using nature as an active learning space – year-round?

Then you may be the pedagogue or pedagogical assistant we are looking for at Spiretoppen nursery.

Who are we

In 2025 it was decided that Spiren and Solstrålen would be merged. We thus became part of an exciting process to plan and design our upcoming institution – Spiretoppen. On 4/1, it will be finished and we look forward to moving in and creating new, inspiring frames for children's lives.

Spiretoppen will be a nursery with 84 children and a dedicated staff, who every day work to create the best childhood. With us, presence is not something we talk about – it is something we do. We prioritize time on the floor, attention to the individual child, and safe relationships that form the basis for learning, development and formation.

We are certified through The Green Sprouts, and outdoor life is a natural part of our everyday. We are outdoors in all kinds of weather and use nature to strengthen children’s motor skills, curiosity, language and overall well-being. With us you may get soil under your fingernails, rosy cheeks and great nature experiences.

We place great emphasis on professionalism and reflection as an integrated part of the pedagogical work. This means that we work consciously with our professional responsibilities, apply pedagogical knowledge in practice, and actively participate in joint professional discussions. We are looking for a colleague who dares to develop their practice in dialogue with colleagues, and who sees preparation, reflection and documentation as necessary prerequisites for high quality in the work with the children.

Collaboration and community are values we carry forward to Spiretoppen. We expect everyone to contribute actively to the collegial collaboration and take responsibility for both own tasks and the shared pedagogical stance. This means being mindful of differences in experiences, perspectives and ways of working, and meeting them with curiosity and respect.

We place emphasis on close and trusting parent collaboration and we prioritize open, respectful and dialogue-based communication, where parents’ knowledge, perspectives and concerns are taken seriously.

As an employee at Spiretoppen you are expected to actively contribute to this shared responsibility by working professionally, relationally and with attention to both the child’s and the family’s perspective. Together we create an environment where children, parents and staff experience themselves as part of a safe and meaningful community.

We place importance on

Working relationally and being able to create safe, close relationships with both children and adults

Having a sharp focus on the child’s perspective and meeting the children in an acknowledging and curious way

Finding joy in caregiving and seeing routines as meaningful pedagogical spaces

Being keen to work with outdoor life and nature pedagogy

Contributing to an open, trusting and humorous work environment

Valuing close and respectful parent collaboration

With us you get

A daily life with plenty of presence, care and time for relationships

Happy children, engaged parents and colleagues with high professional competence

Room meetings during daytime, sparring and opportunities for time to prepare

Focus on pedagogical development and shared reflection.
