Data Engineer for Dagrofa IT – be part of building the data platform of the future

Who are we?

Dagrofa IT supports the entire organisation with digital solutions that make a difference – from our stores to our B2B customers in Dagrofa Foodservice. We are in the middle of an exciting transformation: our ERP program ENZO with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is rolling out, and we are building a completely new data platform on Azure with Databricks, dbt, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI as core components. The Data & BI team has recently been established as the business' strategic data partner, and we have both mandate and momentum to make data a business-critical asset.

The Role of Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer you will be a central part of building and further developing our data platform. You will work closely with our internal team and an external delivery team that has helped establish the foundation.

You will help take the platform from project to production, including operations, governance and scalability – and you will have real influence on how we build a future-proof data platform.

You will, among other things, be working on

• Building and evolving data pipelines and platform components on Azure with Databricks and dbt and Microsoft Fabric.
• Modeling and transforming data from D365FO and other source systems in a Bronze-, Silver- and Gold- structure.
• Ensuring data quality and documentation via dbt tests, Unity Catalog and Microsoft Purview, so data can be used broadly across the business.
• Close collaboration with our BI specialists and external delivery team to further develop the platform and prepare semantic models for Power BI.
• Contributing to CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code via Terraform and Azure DevOps.

You report to the Data & BI Lead and will be part of a small, focused team with close collaboration across IT and the business.

Who are you?

We are open to both mid-level and more experienced profiles – the role and level of responsibility will be adjusted to the right candidate.

We imagine that you

• Have approximately 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or similar role with responsibility for data pipelines and transformations in a cloud environment.
• Experience with Azure-based data platforms – preferably with Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong skills in SQL and Python, as well as experience with data modelling in modern data platforms (e.g., dimensional models, Data Vault or similar, SCD Type 1/2).
• Experience or demonstrated interest in dbt, Git-based development process and preferably Terraform/Azure DevOps.
• Fluent Danish and English, both written and spoken.

• Work in a structured way and are comfortable navigating a platform under construction where not everything is in place yet.
