About the job

Do you want a meaningful night job, where your attention and calm create safety for another person?

We are looking for a caring and responsible disability assistant for night shifts, for a small respiratory team around a young man who lives in his own home in Espergærde. Here you will be an important part of daily life and help ensure safety and stability through the night.

There are no prerequisites for your professional background. But experience working with people is always an advantage. And you will be trained in the respiratory aspects.

About the job

We offer a fixed 12.5 hours per week. As a night shift you join a permanent team that handles respiratory monitoring at night. You work in calm surroundings and will be thoroughly trained so you feel confident in the task.

Your tasks will include

  • Monitor the respiratory treatment throughout the night
  • Observe and respond to changes in the citizen's condition
  • Read nonverbal communication
  • Contribute to a safe and stable environment
  • Work respectfully and professionally in a private home

Working hours

Night shifts every day of the week of 10 hours from 22:00 to 08:00

Your shift rotation is distributed over a 4-week cycle in the following weeks;

Cycle 2: Tuesday

Cycle 3: Monday and Tuesday

Cycle 4: Monday and Tuesday

The team is self-sufficient, meaning that team members help each other cover shifts due to illness and vacation. Therefore we are looking for a colleague who is flexible and willing to contribute to the community.

Training and education

We ensure you are well prepared for the task

  • 3 training shifts in the citizen's home
  • Certification at Respirationscenter Øst, Glostrup Hospital, after completion of training
  • Ongoing sparring and support from the team

We are looking for someone who

  • Can stay focused and attentive throughout the night
  • Is calm, patient and good at observing
  • Works independently and takes responsibility
  • Respects others' privacy and can be a "fly on the wall" when the situation requires it
  • Is flexible and helps during holidays and illness
  • Wants to learn new things and develop
