About the job
NIS2 consultant for Digital Security
Would you like to translate NIS2 requirements into practice and strengthen cybersecurity and IT preparedness in Vallensbæk Municipality?
We are seeking a NIS2 consultant who can create an overview, drive tasks forward and get colleagues on board across the municipality. You will play a central role in the implementation and anchoring of NIS2 and become part of our newly established Digital Security team. Here you will have the opportunity to shape work with security, risk management and preparedness in close collaboration with engaged colleagues.
Join our Digital Security team
The team will consist of a total of five employees: three employees who are already part of IT and Digitalization, and two new colleagues – you as the NIS2 consultant and a coordinator with the professional responsibility for the team. The IT manager has personnel responsibility.
The three current employees mainly focus on user management, GDPR, and system responsibility for a number of the municipality's IT solutions. The areas are well run and based on a solid professional foundation, and you will help build on the good work.
The team’s responsibilities include identity and access management (IAM), GDPR, NIS2, cybersecurity, governance, risk and compliance management (GRC), ISO 27001, as well as IT preparedness. The team also has system responsibility for a number of the municipality's central IT solutions, including the ESDH system Formpipe Acadre, DynamicTemplate, Sense Information, and more.
Your primary focus is to drive NIS2 tasks from requirements and planning to concrete deliveries and new workflows. You will work closely with the coordinator, who ensures the professional direction and coherence across the team. You will have independent responsibility for your tasks and contribute both with an overview and with the practical work needed to reach the goals.
You will primarily work with the organizational implementation of NIS2, risk management and IT preparedness. The technical security tasks are handled by other professionals, with whom you will collaborate on risks, solutions and follow-up.
Your primary tasks
- Drive implementation and anchoring of NIS2 in collaboration with the coordinator and relevant colleagues across the municipality.
- Translate requirements and identified needs into concrete activities, deliveries and schedules and follow up on progress.
- Prepare risk assessments and contribute to prioritizing and following up on security measures together with the relevant areas.
- Prepare and revise policies, procedures and guidelines and contribute to maintenance and development of the municipality’s ISMS (Information Security Management System).
- Coordinate the work on IT preparedness and operations continuity, including contributing to contingency plans, exercises and follow-up.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops and make security requirements understandable and relevant for leaders and employees.
- Contribute to handling, documentation and learning from security incidents in collaboration with relevant colleagues.
- Prepare status material and decision proposals and contribute with professional sparring on NIS2, cybersecurity risks and IT preparedness.
You will fit in well with us if you
Your background could be within NIS2, information security or GDPR. The essential thing is that you can translate complex requirements into practical solutions together with others.
- Have knowledge of NIS2 and preferably experience with risk management, cybersecurity or IT preparedness.
- Have experience with implementation or project work and enjoy producing concrete deliverables yourself.
- Work structurally, take initiative and follow up constructively on your own and shared agreements.
- Convey complex topics clearly in writing and in dialogue with leaders, employees and specialists.
- Be good at building relationships, listening to different needs and facilitating dialogues that lead to concrete agreements.
- Have an eye for operational continuity and a desire to actively contribute to preparedness work.
- Contribute with good humor and a positive, helpful approach to collaboration with colleagues.
You do not need to know all the answers from the first day. We place emphasis on curiosity and a willingness to seek sparring and find solutions that work in everyday life.
What we offer you
- A central role in the municipality’s implementation of NIS2 and work with risk management and IT preparedness.
- Opportunity to shape workflows in a newly established team with independent responsibility for your deliveries.
- Close professional sparring with the coordinator and colleagues as well as a broad contact surface across the municipality.
- Good opportunities for competence development and continuing education.
- Flexible working conditions with flexitime and the possibility of working from home when tasks allow.
- An informal work environment with short decision-making lines, freedom with responsibility and room for good humor.
We prioritize a good working environment. We help each other, share our knowledge and emphasize good collaboration in everyday life. We also do social activities such as board games, footgolf, climbing park and yoga. We are looking for a colleague who wants to engage in the community and contribute to everyone feeling welcome.
Who are we
You will become part of the Center for Properties, Projects and IT (EPI), which is responsible for development and operation of the municipality’s properties, the Projects Unit, IT and digitization. EPI consists of 31 employees at the Town Hall and 14 technical service employees distributed across the municipality’s institutions.
We work closely together, share our knowledge and find solutions in collaboration. There is no long way from idea to action, and you will have a broad contact network across the municipality.
The practical
The position is 37 hours per week including the lunch break.
Employment is carried out according to the applicable agreement between KL and the negotiating organization. Salary is set based on your qualifications and experience. You will be informed of the expected salary level for the position before a potential second interview.
