About the job

Do you want to be part of a strong community where you never face difficult patients alone, and where your professional development is highly prioritized?

At K3 you have the opportunity to work with both acute and chronic patients within gastroenterology. You will become part of a department with high professionalism, strong solidarity and a thorough introduction that ensures you feel safe from day one. Here you will meet everything from the acutely critically ill patient to the young person with a chronic intestinal disease, the complex liver patient and the patient in the final stage of life. It provides an exciting and varied daily life where you develop both professionally and personally.

Therefore, you should choose K3, because you get

✅ 8 weeks of introduction outside of norming

✅ 6 months of structured onboarding program

✅ Mentor and fixed partner

✅ High professionalism and opportunity for competency development

✅ Close management and colleagues who help each other

✅ Social traditions such as Friday brunch and morning song

✅ Possibility to participate in development projects and research

Who are we?

K3 is a gastromedicinal ward with 20 beds, of which 3 are semi-intensive spaces for patients requiring close observation and advanced nursing care. We are part of Abdominal Center K at Bispebjerg Hospital, where we collaborate closely with surgical wards, outpatient clinics, endoscopy departments and operating theaters.

We also have both a day hospital and a liver rehabilitation clinic, where nurses from K3 run independent patient pathways.

We are looking for you who

Are a newly graduated or experienced nurse and want to develop your competencies within medical nursing.

You

  • Meet patients with presence, respect and care
  • Are curious and motivated to learn new things
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development
  • Know your professional strengths and limitations
  • Thrive in close collaboration with colleagues
  • Are steady and contribute positively to the community

You are never alone at work

At K3 our motto is: "One is never alone at work."

We work in pairs every day, help each other across and plan the day collectively.

Our interdisciplinary collaboration is a major strength. Every day we collaborate, among others, with physiotherapists, porters, social nurses, doctors and other professional groups to create the best patient pathways.

We invest in your development

When you start with us, you will be attached to an onboarding program that is tailored to your level of experience.

Kevin, our nurse with a clinical specialty function, will follow you closely through the introduction period.

You will receive

  • 8 weeks of introduction outside of norming
  • Education in the specialty
  • Competence card and training folder
  • Regular follow-up conversations
  • Fixed social and professional partner

The goal is that you develop professionally at your own pace and gain security in the role.

Opportunities for those who want more

If you wish, there are good opportunities to engage in development work, projects and working groups.

Two of our nurses have for example presented development projects at an international conference in Vienna on nutrition therapy and early palliative care for patients with liver cirrhosis.

Practical

The position involves mixed shifts with work every 3rd weekend; over time you can request to work every 4th weekend in 12-hour shifts.

We are happy to arrange a non-binding visit so you can experience the department and meet your potential future colleagues.
