About the job

Do you want to be professionally challenged every single day - in a ward where the good working environment and high professionalism are prerequisites for each other?

You will become part of a staff group where the mood is always high, where we help each other and prioritize time for professional sparring and development. You are never alone, and we have already planned your onboarding with us. We look forward to welcoming you.

We offer an exciting, content-rich and challenging daily life, where you have the opportunity to develop your nursing competencies. We are a ward that spans from the intensive patient to the intermediate patient, medical observation patient to the recovery patient. With us there are always specially trained and experienced nurses at work, and you learn something new every day. For our medical observation patients it is 1 nurse to 2 patients plus the recovery patient; for the intensive patients care is 1:1, and for our intermediate patients it is 1 nurse to 2 patients.

Your tasks as a nurse

We know that many people request examples of tasks in daily life, so here are a few. As a nurse with us you perform ward rounds, handle infusion medications, observe and monitor acutely ill patients – including TOKS and initiation of treatment, provide nursing care to a broad range of patients, have close professional collaboration with physiotherapist, occupational therapist, specialty departments, BDA, municipality, relatives, addiction centers, Respirations Center West and the rehabilitation ward. In short, you quickly build broad nursing knowledge.

With us you get

  • A thorough and targeted training for the ward's specialties with theoretical instruction. During the training period you attend shifts without being part of the staffing norm.
  • Work in an exciting ward with a changing daily life, full of challenges for everyone regardless of experience.
  • Different patient categories – medical observation patients, intermediate-, intensive- and recovery patients.
  • Engaged, initiative-taking and cheerful colleagues who value social cohesion highly - also in their free time.
  • Colleagues with broad professional experience – which we are very happy to share.
  • Flexible work time planning, where you get the opportunity to have influence.
  • Competent and helpful colleagues very close by, you are never alone.

We place great emphasis on

  • Ongoing development of your competences.
  • A good and trust-based collaboration with patient and relatives during the hospital stay.
  • That the good patient journey is ensured, both during and after the hospital stay.

We expect that you

  • Are a trained nurse and have Danish authorization.
  • Are flexible and can act independently in a changing daily life.
  • Want to contribute to a fun and good collegial community. We greatly enjoy each other in our free time.
  • Will contribute to continued development of nursing in our ward.

About the Intensive and Medical Ward

The ward is a high-tech department with 8 round-the-clock beds distributed across 3 intensive beds, 2 intermediate beds, 2 medical observation beds and 1 recovery patient in the evening/night/weekends and holidays. The complexity of nursing varies depending on the patient’s condition, likewise the length of stay.

We are an educational site for nursing students and social- and health care assistant students. There are employed clinical supervisors and internship supervisors to handle these tasks with help from the rest of the staff.
