Nurse wanted for Semi-Intensive Ward

The Shared Intermediate Ward – in everyday speech FIMA – is a smaller ward with six beds, where we provide intermediate nursing and specialized treatment of patients who are too complex or unstable to be treated on a regular ward.

We are a multidisciplinary team consisting of about 20 nurses, a social and health care assistant, two physiotherapists, a clinically trained nurse specialist in intensive care and a ward-responsible anaesthesia consultant.

Our patients come from across the hospital, including reception, psychiatry as well as medical and surgical departments. They often have several acute and chronic diseases and therefore need a multidisciplinary effort, close observation and monitoring as well as advanced treatments such as NIV, high-flow and vasopressors. Therefore each nurse typically cares for one to two patients in collaboration with our multidisciplinary colleagues.

In collaboration with the ward's anaesthesia physician, on-call shifts from the hospital's various departments conduct ward rounds on the patients after a daily multidisciplinary morning conference.

Who are you?

• You are a licensed nurse, preferably with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience
• You have an interest in acute, critical and complex nursing and a desire to develop your competencies within the area.
• You are curious, professionally engaged and motivated to learn new things and share your knowledge with others.
• You take responsibility, are reliable and actively contribute to a safe and positive work environment.
• You meet patients, relatives and colleagues with respect, inclusivity and openness and value multidisciplinary collaboration.

Salary and employment conditions

Starting date 1 January in a permanent position 25-37 hours.

The position basically consists of mixed shifts with consideration for individual wishes.

Weekend shifts every 3rd weekend in 8 or 12-hour shifts.

Salary according to agreement 32.17.1 for non-management staff in the Health Cartel area.

About the Anesthesiology Department

The Anesthesiology Department is a large cross-disciplinary unit with about 300 staff. Doctors, nurses, SOSU assistants, secretaries and pharmacists distributed across the following sections: Anesthesia, Recovery, Intensive Therapy, Shared IMA, Pain Clinic, Secretariat and Emergency Medical Vehicle. Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital is one of the capital's large acute hospitals. The hospital on the Bispebjerg campus was built in 1913 and consists of several old, beautiful buildings, which are protected, and has park-like outdoor areas that are now award-winning “Healing Gardens.” The historic buildings and surroundings help create a very special mood and atmosphere.
