About the job

Would you like to be part of a health service with high professional standards, development and a strong collegial community? We are expanding and seeking two new colleagues.

We are looking for two health visitors for permanent positions of 37 hours per week with start on January 1, 2027 or by agreement. The expansion is taking place because the Health Service has received new resources for professional development, including COS-P programs, pregnancy visits for all, and strengthened early intervention. We are also in the process of implementing a systematic effort to identify partner violence so that families can receive the right support as early as possible.

Variation, flexibility and a safe working environment

You will become part of an engaged team with a professional leader, a professional coordinator, 20 health visitors and two health consultants. We have a good working environment with a high degree of psychological safety, where we share knowledge, talk openly about professional doubts and help each other in everyday life.

The way of working is flexible and characterized by a great deal of independence, but you are never alone: you will receive regular professional supervision, including ADBB supervision by an internal supervisor, and weekly sparring with colleagues. We organize ourselves in pairs so you always have a sparring partner close by.

Organization and professional development

You will be employed as a self-directed worker with base at Gentofte Town Hall in the Department for Family and Health. We are organized in cross-disciplinary districts where your health visiting knowledge makes a difference in the close and binding collaboration on children and families. The health visiting leadership and anchoring remains with the Health Service. We have a good service level and place emphasis on giving you the opportunity to develop professionally and have influence on both tasks and practice.

In the position you will work with infants and school-age children as well as consultancy tasks in day care centers. Gentofte Municipality has approximately 600-650 births per year. All health visitors are trained in AIMS, COS-P, NBO and ADBB. As part of strengthening the early intervention, everyone will also be trained in PUF. You will, as one of the first, have the opportunity to participate in the training together with your new colleagues.

A school area we value highly

It is important that you enjoy school work. Gentofte has about 10,000 schoolchildren across 11 public schools, six private and independent schools, a special school and a youth school.

A common direction

In Gentofte we work for a safe and sustainable future with well-being, development and high professional quality in focus. Through strong professional communities and close cross-sector collaboration, we create the best conditions for children, youths and families to live a healthy life.

Your tasks

  • Conduct home visits with infant families
  • Provide health visiting services in a school
  • Become part of the sexuality education group
  • Handle consultancy tasks in day care centers, including hygiene supervision
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary and cross-sector collaborations on children and families
  • Contribute to a healthy and positive working environment and a strong professional community
  • Participate in internal and external development and occupational health tasks

We imagine that you

  • are an authorized health visitor with experience from the infant and school-age children area
  • have a positive approach and thrive in both mono-professional and cross-professional collaborations
  • are flexible, adaptable and enjoy variation in work
  • are a team player who takes responsibility for the community and the shared tasks
  • thrive with independence and can structure your workday
  • have strong professional and relational skills that build trust and good interaction with children, youths and families
  • are passionate about prevention and early intervention and meet families with an affirming approach
