Nursery educator for Korup-Næsby Childcare Institution – Spurvelund Children’s House

We are seeking a new full-time educator in the nursery section with employment starting January 1, 2027.

About us – Spurvelund Children’s House

We are an integrated day care with nursery and kindergarten. The nursery group consists of 16 children, and as of January 1 will have 20 children. The kindergarten consists of 45 children distributed over 3 groups with an oldest group and 2 groups of 2-, 4-, and otherwise 2- to 4-year-olds.

We have a playground and a bike track, which we use every day year-round. The nursery also has its own playground. We also have good opportunities for activity in the local area, including large grassy areas by the local football club.

We are a professionally competent staff group. We each have our own competences, which we all contribute with and use relevantly in our pedagogical work. We are presence-oriented, caring, and curious and always believe in the best intentions in our interactions with one another.

We work with NEST, ICDP, Sprogklar, the Strengthened Pedagogical Curriculum, Everyday Evaluation, strong children’s communities, SMTTE/Action Plans and evaluations as our management tool to continually gain more knowledge about the individual child, the child community and our learning environments, and thereby be able to adjust our pedagogy and learning environments dynamically.

Together with Spurvelund School we are a Child Universe, where we collaborate on the good connections from nursery to kindergarten and to the Spring-after-SFO/school.

We aspire to be a well-organized children’s house with high quality in everything we do, where the children thrive and the parents feel safe to leave their children.

About you

• You are strong in relationship-building, and with your good overview, your warmth and calm voice, your loving eyes and your calm body language, you make the children feel safe, and they can sense that you like them and enjoy their company.
• You can play, laugh and be silly and you do so gladly, and you immerse yourself in presence with the children – both indoors and outdoors. You are curious about the children’s play and initiatives. You have an eye for supporting the children in play by being in front, beside, and behind. You are not afraid to roll down a hill or engage in a fast game of tag.
• With your professional and human competences you can guide/lead child communities and learning environments with a focus on the core task, and you are always curious to understand, explore and challenge the child perspective as well as your own and colleagues’ practices.
• You understand the importance of strong collaboration with both parents, colleagues, management and external partners.
• You easily use computers/iPads, and it is a natural part of your work.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is paid according to the applicable collective agreement depending on experience and qualifications. The expected salary level will be provided before any interview.
