About the job

We are seeking 3 permanent nurses and 1 maternity leave replacement for the Municipal Nursing Service on Bornholm

Would you like to work closely with citizens and make a real difference in their daily lives? Do you thrive with independent responsibility, strong interdisciplinary collaboration and a daily routine where two days are rarely the same? Then a position in the Municipal Nursing Service on Bornholm is just for you.

We are seeking licensed nurses for permanent positions of 37 hours per week.

The working hours are as a rule day shifts. After a thorough introduction you will also take part in evening shifts and, in rare cases, night shifts. There are typically 2-4 evening shifts per month, depending on your wishes, while night shifts occur only on rare occasions. Weekend shifts are planned as a rule every 4th-6th weekend.

Become part of a strong community

As a nurse in the Municipal Nursing Service you will become part of an engaged and competent department where we work closely together to create safe, coherent and high-quality citizen pathways.

We provide nursing care to citizens in their own homes, at Bornholm's care homes and on temporary placements.

Our approach is rehabilitative and holistic, and we emphasize that citizens experience high quality, continuity and involvement.

The Municipal Nursing Service is organized in teams spread across Bornholm, and we try as far as possible to accommodate individual wishes regarding geographical affiliation.

We collaborate closely with home care, therapists, care homes, the visitation service, general practitioners and the hospital. As part of the Elderly Reform and the fixed teams, we participate in multidisciplinary meetings with a focus on early detection, prevention and coordination of the overall effort around the citizen.

A meaningful job close to the citizen

You become part of a daily routine with both acute and planned nursing tasks. The tasks span a wide range including wound care, compression therapy, medication management, palliative care, complex citizen pathways and clinical assessment in close collaboration with doctors and the hospital.

You meet citizens in many different life situations, and have the opportunity to build close and trusting relationships with both citizens and relatives. You work independently, but never alone – professional sparring and collegial support are a natural part of everyday life.

Your primary tasks

  • Perform nursing tasks in citizens' own homes
  • Manage and coordinate complex and acute nursing tasks
  • Identify changes in the citizen's health and act proactively
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with therapists, doctors and social- and health care assistants.
  • Participate in development and quality assurance of nursing practice
  • Advise and teach citizens, relatives and colleagues

We value that you

  • Have experience from the primary sector, but it is not a requirement
  • Have an interest in working with citizen-centered nursing
  • Can work in a structured way with clinical decision-making in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Can take responsibility for clinical leadership
  • Are good at building trust and meeting people with respect
  • Are accustomed to documentation and digital record-keeping systems

We offer

  • An exciting and varied daily life in a sector under development
  • A good and engaged colleague community with room for professional sparring
  • Thorough introduction and mentor scheme
  • Opportunity for competency development and further education
  • Influence on work planning and flexibility in daily life
  • Management that is visible and responsive
