About the job

Would you like to develop your nursing professionalism in both inpatient wards and the outpatient clinic – with the possibility to shape your own working day? With us you become part of a strong multidisciplinary community where we work together to create good patient pathways – and where you have the opportunity to develop your skills across the entire orthopedic surgical specialty.

We offer a versatile position across inpatient wards and the outpatient clinic, where you have the opportunity to influence both your onboarding process and the distribution of your working hours.

We are seeking 2 nurses who want to contribute to good nursing care, who are professionally curious, engaged and want to make a difference for our patients.

With us you have the opportunity to develop – with room for your wishes In Department O, over the past years we have targeted roles that cross between our inpatient wards and outpatient clinic. It provides an opportunity to follow patient journeys across and build a broad orthopedic surgery competence.

We know that desires and interests can differ, which is why we offer flexibility in planning your position.

You have the opportunity to start your employment either in the inpatient ward or in the outpatient clinic, where you as a rule work the first six months, before gradually being trained in the other department.

You also get influence on how your working hours are allocated between the inpatient ward and the outpatient clinic. The distribution does not need to be equal, and we arrange it in dialogue with you based on your wishes, professional interests and the department's needs.

In this way we aim to create the framework for a position where you can both develop your nursing and have a daily life that fits you.

We focus on competence development, knowledge sharing and quality in patient pathways, and courses are part of the competence development.

You do not need to have experience in orthopedic surgery to apply. The most important for us is that you want to learn, take responsibility for your own development and are curious about our patients and our specialty. We will ensure you are well prepared for the tasks.

A broad and exciting specialty With us you will encounter a wide orthopedic surgical patient field – from the acute trauma patient to the planned hip and knee pathways and from children to patients with complex wounds, infections and amputations.

Our subspecialties include, among other things

  • Trauma and hand patients
  • Planned hip and knee patients
  • Infection, wound and amputation patients
  • Children (outpatient clinic)
  • Shoulder and elbow patients
  • Foot and ankle patients

In the outpatient clinic you, in step with your competence development, will have the opportunity to undertake various nursing functions, including pre-examinations, post-treatments, casting, and independent nursing clinics.

We believe that good patient pathways are created together In the inpatient ward we work in multidisciplinary teams where everyone comes in and starts the day together. The team includes, among others, secretaries, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social- and health care assistants and nurses.

Treatment pathways are planned and coordinated in close collaboration with the patient and their relatives, and therefore it is important to us that you thrive working in a cross-disciplinary way with the patient at the center.

Our culture is characterized by openness, dialogue, trust and recognition, and we see a good working environment as a shared responsibility. We continuously work on "the good employee culture", because we believe that well-being and quality go hand in hand.

You will receive a good introduction We offer you an individual and structured onboarding program, where we base it on your experiences and competencies.

Your competence development is supported by My Skills and you will be assigned two buddies during your onboarding.

With us you get

  • An individual and structured onboarding program
  • Opportunity to start your employment in either inpatient ward or outpatient clinic
  • Co-determination over the distribution of your working hours between inpatient ward and outpatient clinic
  • Two daily mentors
  • Systematic competence development via My Skills
  • A broad and versatile orthopedic surgical specialty
  • Close mono- and multidisciplinary collaboration
  • Opportunity for courses and further education
  • A collegial community with room for diversity
  • Opportunity to contribute to developing our department and our way of working

Practical information The positions are 37 hours per week.

Regardless of how your working hours are distributed between the inpatient ward and the outpatient clinic, you will participate in weekend shifts every 3rd weekend on average, as well as holiday shifts in the inpatient ward on an equal footing with your colleagues.
