About the job

The palliative task has grown at night, as more citizens wish to die at home and therefore we are looking for two nurses who want to work in a 7/7 rotation. Here you will become part of a well-functioning team of 11 people, where three in the team are nurses.

About us

In night care we visit citizens who need home and nursing care at night for both planned and urgent visits. We cover the entire Copenhagen Municipality and have a close collaboration with 1813 and the on-call center.

Our everyday life is about people, and therefore we offer varied work, where no tasks or shifts are identical, where we spar with each other and share knowledge. We have good camaraderie and high job satisfaction. Our shifts start and end right now in Natplejen's cozy premises in Østbanegade opposite Nordhavn Station. The plan is that we will move in the near future, and we expect it will be to Valby.

We do not know you yet, but we hope that

  • Your nursing knowledge is high, and you are proud of it - you may have a few years of experience as a nurse
  • You thrive with many different tasks – both the planned and the acute, and you understand how to work independently and are also a good colleague who both shares your knowledge and helps out when needed

Your shifts are with other good and professionally skilled colleagues who are nurses, social- and healthcare assistants and social- and health aides, and you will assist, among other things, with support and training of your SOSU colleagues' competencies. Just as you prioritize and contribute to the good working environment.

You must perform tasks such as

  • responsible role on equal footing with your two other nursing colleagues
  • through your role as person in charge, you represent management at night and thereby are loyal to managerial decisions
  • triage role
  • coordinating function for incoming emergency calls from the on-call center and 1813
  • acute nursing tasks
  • palliative and pain management
  • treatment of traumas after, for example, a fall
  • drive to emergency calls from the on-call center on equal terms with all professional groups

In addition to ordinary nursing, the Acute Team function is also carried out at night, which means we receive calls directly from 1813. Equipment is of course provided on par with the Acute Team, which operates in day and evening hours. This function will be phased out when the region takes over the function at night at some point in the new year.

We ensure a thorough onboarding program for all new employees. You are followed by a colleague during the first week, and we continuously spar with each other in the group.

Salary and employment terms

We would like to offer you a permanent full-time position in a 7/7 rotation, where shifts start on Thursdays. The positions are available and to be filled as soon as possible.

We drive by car through the night, so it is necessary that you have a valid driver's license.

It is a permanent position with pay and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. We obtain a criminal record and take references in connection with recruitment.

If you have previously been employed by the City of Copenhagen, another rule also applies

If you are considered for a position in a municipal unit, we will check whether you have been dismissed or terminated by the municipality within the last three years and share relevant information with the hiring manager. It may also be information about criminal behavior that led to termination or dismissal from the City of Copenhagen, information about drug use such as a positive alcohol test, or information about medical history that may be of considerable importance for a new employment in the municipality. This does not apply to employment at a self-owned nursing home. Read more about reference checks here .

We conduct interviews on an ongoing basis, but we accept applications up until the deadline. We look forward to hearing from you.
