About the job

Do you have knowledge and experience in the neurological field and/or the child and adolescent field? Would you like to work with rehabilitation of children and young people with acquired brain injury and support them toward a meaningful everyday life in close multidisciplinary collaboration? Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for.

At Hjerneskadecenter Virum we are looking for a dedicated occupational therapist colleague for a full-time position as of December 1, 2026.

About the job

Hjerneskadecenter Virum is the Capital Region’s specialized rehabilitation offer for children and young people with acquired brain injury (0-25 years). The children and the young people often arrive directly from hospital admission with a rehabilitation plan for specialized rehabilitation after an accident, brain hemorrhage, stroke, brain tumor or other special illness trajectories.

This is a target group with great developmental potential, and many have cognitive functioning within the normal range. We work purposefully to help recover lost skills while also promoting new learning.

You will be part of multidisciplinary teams with physiotherapists, special teachers, neuro-pedagogues, speech-language therapists and neuropsychologists around each child and young person. Your daily work will mainly consist of testing and assessment, training individually and in groups, and report writing.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will use your professional knowledge throughout the child’s day at the brain injury center – including tasks that make everyday life function and support the child’s daily life with us.

You will also provide guidance to parents as well as internal and external collaborators.
