We are looking for a occupational therapist with a focus on the person who wants to help create change for adults with psychiatric and social challenges.

We work recovery-oriented and rehabilitative – and we mean it when we say that the citizen comes first . In addition, we have an e-sports offering. If you have an interest here, it is certainly an advantage, but not a must.

How we create change

At Harebakken we view recovery as an individual process. A meaningful life is different for everyone, and we collaborate with the citizen to define and achieve their own goals – with or without illness.

The target group is adults between 18 and 85 years with psychiatric and social challenges as well as dual diagnoses. We are also specialized in eating disorders and self-harm . We combine knowledge and experience from different professional groups because one approach is rarely enough.

25 housing units – 25 individual needs.

We have 8 §107- and 17 §85-housing units as well as outreach services within our specialist area.

We are constantly developing

We are in the process of implementing LA2 – an approach that helps both us and the citizens work preventively with wellbeing and security.

Based on the citizen’s inside-out perspective we explore together what makes sense for the individual, and what can support wellbeing, safety and development.

In addition, we work with Open Dialogue , which places the citizen’s voice at the center. We gladly invite the citizen’s network in when it makes sense, because we believe that collaboration and different perspectives can create new possibilities.

Meaningful activities, sensory processing and e-sport

At Harebakken we actively work with meaningful activities as a path to participation, development and community .

Here the occupational therapy plays an important role, for example in working with sensory profiles, activity analysis and adaptation of activities to the individual citizen’s needs, resources and wishes.

We also have an established e-sport offer with Counter-Strike as the focal point.

Here we use gaming as a meaningful activity and as a framework for, among other things, communication, collaboration, responsibility, structure, managing adversity and the experience of being a meaningful part of a team .

The offering includes fixed training sessions as well as participation in organized matches and communities across three residential facilities in Hammel .

This also means that you as a staff member can have the opportunity to bring your own interests and competences into play in the social- and welfare-work.

• You see documentation as part of the social-educational work – not something that sits beside it. The documentation should be usable by both the citizen and your colleagues.
• You have experience from social psychiatry and want to develop yourself further – both professionally and humanly.
• You have an interest in E-sports and can see gaming as a meaningful activity and a way into communities.
• You have training in sensory profiles or are interested in taking it

Further information

As a rule, we are seeking an employee for a permanent 37-hour position in mixed day and evening shifts with working every third weekend.

The position starts on 1 January 2027 .

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
