About the job

Would you like to help shape the future of elderly care?

In Norddjurs Municipality we are seeking a dedicated and professionally strong occupational therapist for the Holistic Care Allingåbro to become part of our exciting development towards holistic care.

Are you passionate about rehabilitation, interdisciplinary collaboration and a close citizen-centered effort, then it may be you we are looking for.

On 1 September 2026 we transitioned to holistic care based on the Elderly Act. We are systematically developing the new organization where the citizen's wishes, needs and life situation are the focal point of the effort. The purpose of Holistic Care is among other things to support the citizen's opportunity for an independent and meaningful everyday life through a coordinated interdisciplinary effort.

To strengthen the interdisciplinary competencies in Holistic Care Allingåbro we are now seeking an occupational therapist who can contribute with professional knowledge about functional ability, activity, assistive devices and rehabilitation. The goal is to create coherent and meaningful citizen journeys where the citizen experiences one integrated effort rather than a series of individual services.

Your role

As an occupational therapist you will be an important part of translating the Elderly Act's intentions into practice.

You will become a central collaborative partner for physiotherapists, social and health care helpers, social and health care assistants and nurses and contribute with your professional view on the citizen's functional ability, activity possibilities and rehabilitation potential.

As the function is still under development, you will have a unique opportunity to influence both the content of the position and the development of holistic care in Norddjurs Municipality, in close collaboration with other colleagues.

Together with your colleagues you will help strengthen the rehabilitative approach in meeting the citizens. This means we work purposefully to support citizens' own resources, participation and independence, so that as many as possible can maintain an active and meaningful everyday life for as long as possible.

You should thrive in a role where you both work directly with citizens and at the same time support colleagues' professional development through sparring, reflection and shared learning.

Your tasks

You will among other things have to

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments in the citizen's home.
  • Develop and implement targeted rehabilitative interventions.
  • Assess the need for assistive devices and support for activities in daily life.
  • Support the citizen's ability to manage their own life and maintain functional abilities for as long as possible.
  • Contribute to the prevention of loss of function.
  • Participate in coordinating complex citizen pathways through interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Document goals, plans and follow-up in KMD Nexus.
  • Guide, spar with and teach care staff in rehabilitative approaches and activity-promoting interventions.

Interdisciplinary collaboration

To support the joint effort around the citizen, you are expected to actively participate in Holistic Care's interdisciplinary collaboration forums, among others through:

  • Participation in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Joint citizen visits with other professional groups.
  • Sparring with colleagues in concrete citizen pathways.
  • Teaching and competence development of staff.
  • Contribute to joint planning and follow-up on citizens' goals.
  • Interdisciplinary reflection on complex citizen pathways with focus on learning, development and quality.
  • Because we work closely across professions, a meeting time at 7 a.m. can be expected.

We wish to create a daily life where therapists and care staff work closely together to identify citizens' resources and possibilities. Therefore we expect you to bring your own professional approach into play and be curious about others' perspectives and competencies.

About the organization

In Holistic Care Allingåbro you are a key part of the interdisciplinary organization and take a central role in developing the collaboration between therapists and care staff.

We are still in the process of developing holistic care and the new forms of collaboration across disciplines. Therefore we are seeking an employee who wants to help shape and develop practice together with colleagues.

We believe that the best solutions are created collectively, and we place great emphasis on curiosity, professional dialogue and respect for each other’s competences.

We imagine that you

  • Are educated as an occupational therapist.
  • Have experience with or interest in working in citizens' own homes.
  • Thrive in collaboration with citizens and relatives.
  • See the value in interdisciplinary collaboration and actively contribute to joint solutions.
  • Work rehabilitatively and are motivated to strengthen the citizen's independence and functional ability.
  • Take responsibility and bring your professional expertise into play for the benefit of both citizens and colleagues.
  • Communicate in an appreciative and respectful manner.
  • Work in a structured and independent manner with high professional quality.
  • Be strong both verbally and in writing.
  • Be flexible and thrive in a daily life where tasks and needs can change.
