This is a fixed-term, 30-hour position from December 1, 2026 to August 15, 2027.
Who are we?
The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Department at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital is an interdisciplinary department with its own research unit. We prioritize quality, development and well-being, and collectively take responsibility for maintaining a high professional standard with a critical and curious approach to our efforts.

We are a total of 130 occupational therapists and physiotherapists in the department who are passionate about making a difference for patients. Together we cover many specialties and possess a wide range of competencies, which provides ample opportunity to exchange knowledge and skills in a dynamic collaboration across specialties.
Briefly about us and the position
You will become part of the orthopaedic surgery group, which consists of 21 physiotherapists and 4 occupational therapists, distributed across 5 teams, covering the inpatient and specialized outpatient rehabilitation area of the orthopaedic surgical specialty. We help each other across teams so that the patient receives the most optimal treatment at the right time. You will have broad and close collaboration with the hospital's other professional groups around patient pathways.
The position offers plenty of opportunities for professional challenges and patient-centered tasks. You will enter an exciting and varied everyday life, and you will be part of a well-functioning department.
In daily work you will be part of the orthopedic surgery occupational therapy team, and your tasks in orthopaedic surgery cover both inpatients and outpatient patients.
We are a good team that places high value on professional skill and knowledge as well as social interaction during the workday. It is a condition that everyone in the team is flexible and contributes to daily prioritization, planning and execution of tasks.
We work closely with the orthopaedic surgery physiotherapists and researchers in our department regarding the development of the OE-area.
We are also part of a matrix organization for quality development in the occupational therapy area, where occupational therapists across the hospital's clinical specialty areas participate in joint educational meetings and workshops on our core tasks.
Your main tasks will be
- examination, assessment and rehabilitation of inpatients with OE in the orthopaedic department as well as outpatient hand surgery patients
- dysphagia assessment, instruction and guidance
- assessment of the need for and provision of assistive devices for inpatients
- instruction in preventive and rehabilitative exercises as well as guidance in performing ADL
- participation in planning the further patient pathway in collaboration with the interdisciplinary staff – including preparation of Rehabilitation Plans.
We expect that you
- possibly have experience working with hand therapy (outpatient OE-patients)
- are interested in both the inpatient and outpatient orthopaedic surgical area
- prefer to have experience with dysphagia – possibly FOTT Basic Course
- have empathy to assess and treat a diverse range of people
- can adapt and organize assessment and treatment for the individual patient
- take responsibility for your professional practice
- have command of your professional terminology, are professionally grounded and have professional impact
- are efficient and precise in documenting your work, both in writing and verbally; it is an advantage if you have experience with Sundhedsplatformen
- are responsible, independent and have good teamwork skills
- are reflective and have personal maturity
- are proactive and have a good overview and a good spirit in a busy daily life
We offer
- An challenging and independent job at a large acute hospital with many specialties
- A daily life with varied and exciting tasks with both inpatient and outpatient specialized patient pathways
- A thorough introduction and training for both the professional aspects and the workplace
- A workplace with a focus on research and development

- Interdisciplinary collaboration, where therapists are a highly valued professional group and an important part of the patient pathway
- A workplace that has positive expectations of you
