Østervangskolen seeks a school pedagogue

We are a school in growth, and therefore need to add more skilled pedagogues to our school.

At Østervangskolen you will become part of a staff group that seeks to create the best possible framework for all children's well-being and learning. The school's clear vision is to shape the students into whole people with emphasis on both academic, practical subjects, drama, physical and musical learning processes.

We place emphasis on creating a pedagogical environment where the desire to open new worlds for the children is central, and where curiosity about children's development, for itself and together, is the heart of both leisure pedagogy and teaching.

You will particularly be attached to one year group in the early years (indskolingen), where you will join in the team collaboration. You will be expected to participate in the year group's work during the school day, but the main part of your working time will take place in SFO in the afternoon. There will be about one evening opening in the club (4th-6th grade) per month.

It is essential for us that you have the following profile

• You are educated as a pedagogue or have experience as a pedagogical assistant
• You are present, empathetic and easy to be in giving relationships to children and adults
• You have thought about “the good leisure offering”
• You see opportunities rather than limitations in developing inclusive learning environments both in school and leisure
• You are team-oriented and place high value on cooperation - in school, SFO, among colleagues and in the school–home cooperation

Østervangskolen lies only 10 minutes' walk from the station, from which there are good connections to both Aarhus and Randers. The school has about 500 students from kindergarten to 9th grade, a reception class and 45 staff. The school has an engaged and interested parent group and a close cooperation with the school board.

This is a permanent position of 32 hours and with employment by agreement, but no later than 1 January 2027.
