Who are we?

OK-Fonden Høng Vocational School is a house with a history in the social field dating back to 1864. We are situated on a large and very beautiful property with good opportunities for both outdoor and indoor activities.

We are a psychiatric residential facility that serves as a home for adults with various psychiatric and social challenges and vulnerabilities, including substance use. All residents are admitted under SEL §107. Høng Vocational School offers frameworks that enable residents to participate actively in their own lives and to have a structured daily life according to each individual's wishes and needs.

Our foundation is built on the belief that it is in safety and trust between us that we all develop and grow. Furthermore, we believe that it is the community that is the foundation for creating meaningfulness for the individual.

In addition to our milieu-therapeutic residential unit, we also have a large and lovely workshop that is actively used every day by our residents.

At Høng Vocational School we are a group of colleagues with several different professional backgrounds and competencies. Common to us all is that we are passionate about our daily lives together with the residents, that we value being good role models, and that we like to laugh loudly with each other.

We set expectations of each other to be professional and professionally skilled and to become even more skilled. We prioritize room for reflection and professional development through participation in supervision, peer coaching and professional theme days. We work across professions because we believe that collaboration between different professions and personalities is the prerequisite for success.

At Høng Vocational School we work from a recovery-oriented rehabilitative approach. That is, we start from each person's wishes and dreams, which is the human view we carry with us every day when we are with our residents. We are professionally well-qualified and also bring our personal interests and competences into the work life, which strengthens the breadth of our efforts.

Is it you we are looking for?

If you would like to become our new colleague and can recognize yourself in the description below, we would love to hear from you.

• Are educated in pedagogy, healthcare or social work.
• Know yourself and your values – and can communicate them in a way that creates engagement for both residents and colleagues.
• Have insight and knowledge about our target group’s challenges and issues (e.g. dual diagnoses, autism, ADHD and schizophrenia).
• Able to work affirmatively, reflectively and mentally with others.
• Know that our residents are experts in their own lives – and show respect and curiosity for their dreams and hopes.
• Take responsibility and have an overview of daily tasks.
• Have psychiatric experience – preferably from a social-psychiatric setting.
• Maybe you have further education or courses in areas such as systemic, cognitive and neuroaffective domains and possibly within DAT, substance abuse, OCD, anxiety, autism and NADA. This is not a requirement.

If you can bring a very special skill, we would also love to hear more about it.

The practicals about the positions

• Permanent positions of 32 - 37 hours per week, distributed across day/afternoon and evening shifts and working every other weekend.
• Hiring interviews will be held on an ongoing basis until we have found the right candidates.
• Start of employment as soon as possible.
