About the job

We are looking for a psychotherapist – who has experience with psychiatric diagnoses

Do you want to help make a difference for young people and adults with mental and social challenges – in a professionally strong, presence-based and engaged environment?

At Løvegård ApS we are seeking a new colleague for a full-time position.

The role gives you the opportunity to bring your psychotherapeutic expertise into working with our 8 residents aged 20–45 years, while you participate in the daily pedagogical practice at the residence.

Who are we?

Løvegård is a psychotherapeutic and socio-pedagogical temporary residential facility (§107) for young people and adults with mental and social challenges. We work from an affirming and holistic view of humanity, where relationships, emotional life, the body and social interaction are central elements in the intervention. We have a solid professional foundation grounded in a psychotherapeutic approach and place emphasis on reflection, quality and responsibility in the work.

The residents at Løvegård are not generally considered therapy patients in the traditional sense, as they have extensive mental health challenges. They do, however, retain an ability to reflect and to some extent mentalize, which provides a basis for an increased understanding of their own situation, making it professionally relevant to apply a psychotherapeutic approach as part of the overall pedagogical effort.

With the resident at the center, we collaborate with municipalities on targeted pathways (§83 and §85), which strengthen quality of life, coping and development. With us you will encounter a house characterized by openness, warmth and a daily life with room for both professional depth and relational work.

What can we offer you?

  • A workplace with time for each resident and the opportunity to follow development closely
  • A meaningful daily life, professional challenges and collegial sparring
  • Possibility to contribute to the professional development of the offering
  • Supervision and professional reflection
  • A workplace with influence and space for professional perspectives

Who are you?

We are looking for a colleague who works professionally, reflectively and with a clear professional stance. You are a psychotherapist and have an interest in – and preferably experience with – working with the body, nutrition and trauma healing. You have prior experience working with people who live with mental health challenges, as described on the website.

You thrive with responsibility, can work independently and at the same time naturally participate in professional discussions and collaborations with colleagues. You are prepared to be practical and present in the tasks that come with daily life at a residential facility.

We would like you to

  • be trained as a psychotherapist and preferably have a pedagogical background or another similar professional background
  • have experience with mentally vulnerable youths and adults
  • have knowledge of or experience with trauma- and shock-treatment work
  • have knowledge of or interest in diet and functional medicine from a therapeutic perspective
  • be comfortable with both conversations, practical tasks and documentation
  • have an understanding of collaboration with referring municipalities

Practical information

  • The position is full-time with rotating working hours, including 13-hour shifts and overnight shifts (sleeping night shift), spread over a 12-week cycle
  • You must be able to work independently and professionally integrate into a team
  • You must be prepared for ongoing professional and personal development
