About the job

As area manager for Adult Disability, you will be responsible for five department managers and an area with four residential facilities and two activity facilities, which in recent years have developed a strong professional and organizational foundation.

We have a clear direction. Recovery-oriented rehabilitation is our professional foundation, and our ambition is to support a dignified life, where citizens are as much as possible in control of their own lives. This requires high professionalism, courage to challenge established solutions and leadership that translates ambitions into practice.

You must succeed through others. You will lead and develop your department heads, create commitment to the professional direction and ensure coherence between professional quality, finances and safe operation. You give your leaders room to succeed and are at the same time close enough to support, challenge and make decisions when necessary. You must also create coherence across the Social Area and in collaboration with, among others, the health sector.

You will not be alone. You report to the Chief Social Officer and become part of a close area leadership team with short distances to each other, direct dialogue and an expectation that we help each other to succeed with the whole Social Area. We have high ceilings and room for new perspectives. We believe that when a new member joins a team, it becomes a new team. Therefore you will have a real opportunity to shape our shared leadership and development.

We are looking for an area manager who

• Has solid managerial experience, preferably with leadership of leaders
• Has solid social work insight, preferably from the adult disability field
• Can set strategic and professional direction and translate ambitions into practice
• Knows that professional quality and financial accountability must go hand in hand
• Engages in direct dialogue, even when the conversation is difficult
• Is curious and reflective and has the courage to challenge habits and make decisions.
