A compassionate respite worker is sought for a 7-year-old girl with autism near Odense

What task awaits you?

This is about an almost 7-year-old girl with infantile autism and a very limited verbal language. In her home only Arabic/Syriac is spoken, so it would be an advantage if you speak Arabic (not necessarily fluent)

The girl needs adults around her with whom she can form a secure relationship and who can meet her need for close 1:1 support and supervision..

She lives in Veflinge on Funen with her parents, and the support will initially take place at home, where the necessary time must be set aside so that she can build a good and secure relationship with you in her familiar surroundings. In the longer term there may be outings outside the home.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who want to be an important part of the girl's life – both as a present adult and as a support that creates safety, play and development in her weekends.

There are no requirements for having a relevant education, but experience with the target group or knowledge of autism will be an advantage.

The job also provides an opportunity to develop valuable competencies – especially if you are interested in or already work with children with special needs.

· Are independent, responsible and reliable in attendance

Working hours and employment

This is a position of 20 hours per month.

You will work either Saturdays or Sundays (your choice) from 13:00–18:00. You can choose whether you want to work every weekend or every other weekend.

The shift schedule is agreed in close dialogue with the family and is flexible, so that it can be adapted to when it suits you best.
