Our suburban team is looking for a flexible and collaborative caretaker for BUF Teknik and Property Services in the Copenhagen Municipality

Are you service-minded, and do you have the skills to service one of the City of Copenhagen’s residential care facilities located in the Greater Copenhagen area? And can you provide your own car, which is a requirement to be considered.

BUF Teknik og Ejendomsservice consists of about 200 groundkeepers distributed across seven teams. There is also a craftsman team that includes painters and carpenters, as well as an administrative team.

We service residential care facilities, nurseries, kindergartens, after-school programs and schools – total about 400 addresses.

Each team has a team leader who, in collaboration with the grounds staff, ensures an optimal and efficient task completion to the benefit of the site users.

Our out-of-town team services our institutions, where the geographical area covers all of Zealand. It is therefore important that you can provide your own car, as you may need to assist colleagues at other units during holidays.

About the job

We are looking for a groundskeeper for the residential care facilities located in Bagsværd, Gladsaxe, Hellerup and Nærum.

We primarily handle operations, maintenance, and cleaning tasks, but also ad hoc indoor tasks for our units. These may include tasks such as

• cleaning, including snow removal and slippage prevention
• lawn mowing and hedge trimming as well as weed control
• cleansing of sewers/sand traps and drains
• emptying of waste bins and drop shafts
• carrying out minor repairs outside as well as inside
• supervision of heating and ventilation systems as well as fire equipment and ABA
• supervision of the building

About you

As this is a position with a very broad professional content, we do not require specific qualifications, but it would be an advantage if you have experience with one or more of the tasks above. Experience from a similar position will also be considered an advantage. In addition, it is important to us that you are service-minded, patient, and enjoy working with people from all walks of life. You are flexible and willing to take on new professional challenges.

Employer terms

Salary and employment terms according to the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local wage formation. You will be employed by the City of Copenhagen with as soon as possible start date.

Working hours are Monday-Thursday 06:00-14:00, and Friday 06:00-13:30.

You will be issued work clothes and safety shoes.

It should be stressed once again that it is a requirement that you can provide your own car. The car is to be used solely for transport of yourself between units.
