About the job

You now have a unique opportunity to become part of Videbæk School's strong upper-division (overbygning) team.

Can you make Henrik Pontoppidan relevant to our young people in the upper grades, or do you simply have a fantastic ability to convey Danish, English and culture subjects while you have a pretty good handle on the students in the upper grades, then we are definitely a good match. We want to be challenged by someone who believes the humanities are more than chalk-and-talk. You might even love combining the theoretical with the practical. If you are easy to be around, it will surely be appreciated by your future colleagues and students.

All staff at Videbæk Skole are trained in Co-Teaching. You must therefore be able to participate in the interaction around joint preparation, teaching and evaluation.

We are looking for some of the following subjects: Danish, English, cultural subjects and Co-Teaching – the opportunities are many, and they can be shaped according to your qualifications. You may be a trained teacher or have another relevant background.

At Videbæk Skole, everyone should succeed. We believe that good well-being and academic challenges are the way forward, and therefore we work purposefully to create the best framework for this. This applies to both our children and all our wonderful staff.

At Videbæk Skole, you are expected to think aloud, look at opportunities rather than limitations. That makes the school even better. You must be professionally engaged, and you must be prepared to lift the students together.

You must be ambitious and engaged and passionate about teaching and taking care of students' social and academic development. You must have strong relationship skills and be a strong and clear classroom leader.

Expectations for our new teacher

  • Subject specialty or teaching competencies in some of the mentioned subjects
  • Can work in a structured and systematic way with students' academic and personal development
  • Ambitious on behalf of the students
  • Includes creativity, technology and innovation in the teaching
  • Listening and acknowledging in relation to the challenges students and colleagues face in everyday life
  • Views parent collaboration as a valuable resource

We offer

  • A beautiful well-functioning school in safe surroundings – where academic achievement and well-being go hand in hand
  • That you become part of a strong and development-oriented department team
  • An exciting, varied and challenging everyday life
  • Presence with meaning, i.e., when you have teaching, meetings and joint preparation
  • A trusting environment and easy laughter
  • Focus on community and good cohesion

We are a departmentally organized school with an after-school care (SFO) and two departments. In the coming school year, our focus at the school includes Co-Teaching, well-being and inclusive learning environments.

The position is a permanent full-time appointment as of 1 December 2026 with salary according to the applicable collective agreement.

Please send your application to us no later than 19.10.2026. Interviews will be held on 22.10.2026.

If you are curious and have questions about the position, please contact vice principal Johnny Nielsen at 20 86 01 71 or principal Morten Mikkelsen at 20 61 74 98.

You submit your application by clicking the "Ansøg" button at the bottom of the page. Attach your application and your CV as well as relevant documents in PDF or DOC format.
