About the job

You now have a unique opportunity to become part of Videbæk School's strong upper-school team.

Can you bring Henrik Pontoppidan to life for our young people in the upper school, or do you simply have a fantastic ability to teach Danish, English and cultural subjects while you have a solid grasp of the pupils in the upper school, then we are certainly a good match. We would like to be challenged by someone who thinks the humanities are more than classroom teaching. You might even love combining the theoretical with the practical. If you are pleasant to be around, it will surely be well received by your future colleagues and students.

All staff at Videbæk School are trained in Co-Teaching. You must therefore be able to participate in the interaction around joint preparation, teaching and evaluation.

We are looking for some of the following subjects: Danish, English, cultural subjects and Co-Teaching – the possibilities are many and can be shaped according to your qualifications. You may be a trained teacher or have another relevant background.

At Videbæk School, everyone must succeed. We believe that good well-being and academic challenges are the way forward, and therefore we work purposefully to create the best framework for this. This applies to both our children and all our fantastic staff.

At Videbæk School, you must help to think aloud, look at opportunities rather than limitations. That makes the school even better. You must be professionally engaged, and you must be prepared to lift the students together.

You must be ambitious and engaged and passionate about teaching and taking care of students' social and academic development. You must have good relational skills and be a strong and clear classroom leader.

Expectations for our new teacher

  • Main-subjects or teaching competencies in some of the mentioned subjects
  • Can work in a structured and systematic way with the students' academic and personal development
  • Ambitious on behalf of the students
  • Incorporates creativity, technology and innovation in teaching
  • Listening and acknowledging in relation to the challenges that students and colleagues face in daily life
  • Sees parent collaboration as a valuable resource

We offer

  • A beautiful well-functioning school in safe surroundings - where academic achievement and well-being go hand in hand
  • That you become part of a strong and development-oriented department team
  • An exciting, varied and challenging everyday life
  • Presence with meaning, i.e., when you have teaching, meetings and joint preparation
  • A trusting environment and easy to laugh
  • Focus on community and the good togetherness

We are a department-divided school with an after-school program (SFO) and two campuses. In the coming school year, we will focus on, among other things, Co-Teaching, well-being and inclusive learning environments.

The position is a permanent full-time position as of December 1, 2026 with salary according to the current collective agreement.

Please send your application to us no later than 19.10.2026. Interviews will be held on 22.10.2026.

If you are curious and have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact the deputy headteacher Johnny Nielsen at 20 86 01 71 or the principal Morten Mikkelsen at 20 61 74 98.
