Senior Consultant in Radiology and Imaging, Næstved Department

Senior consultant sought for Radiology and Scanning, Næstved department, SUH - with a view to subsequently primary attachment to the sister department in Nykøbing F. during spring 2028.

We are seeking a senior consultant in radiology – preferably with interest in oncology- and/or thorax radiology.

Due to structural changes, our Næstved department faces reduction in functions and activity during Spring 2028, where a portion of our tasks are planned to be transferred to Køge. Therefore we need your competencies in Næstved to carry out our exciting functions for about 1½ years.

Initially you will be employed with primary workplace at the department in Næstved.

Your primary place of employment will then be our sister department in Nykøbing F.

We plan your employment based on your wishes and competencies and our overall department needs. We intend to discuss this arrangement with you.

Radiology and Scanning, Næstved department is a stable, well-functioning unit under SUH with dedicated staff, good working environment and strong camaraderie - also across professional boundaries.

You will have knowledge sharing and collaboration with the other departments. We are in a change process, and you will have the opportunity to shape our visions.

In the Næstved department we are about 50 staff. We have 2 MR scanners, 2 CT scanners, 2 ultrasound rooms and 5 conventional rooms, and we perform around 65,000 examinations annually.

Diagnostic PET scans are described daily in collaboration with our Nuclear Medicine department.

We have lung cancer workup, and you are expected to participate in the holding of the multidisciplinary conferences in this area.

One of your important functions will be supervision of our trainee doctors. The Næstved department has up to 5 training doctors at various stages of the main training. You are expected to participate in the training of our younger doctors as well as take on the role of chief supervisor.

Opportunities to participate in research and development projects internally and externally. We have recently attached a professor to our department.

Næstved Hospital is a specialty hospital and thus without on-call duties. The acute examinations performed on our inpatients during on-call hours are described by the department in Nykøbing.

Night duty – and/or planned day function - at one of our sister departments may potentially be included in the position.

Under the Hospital Plan of 2018 it was decided that the hospital in Nykøbing F. should be strengthened going forward. The Radiology and Scanning department in Nykøbing is part of SUH, Køge.

We have some flexibility around meeting times, and we try to accommodate individual wishes as far as possible. For us it is important that you have commitment to the specialty and our department.

Starting salary for employees covered by the collective agreement

The region is obliged to inform you of the starting salary for the position. You will be informed of base salary, centrally fixed allowances and pension in the relevant collective agreement. In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include any negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
