Educator for a 33-hour maternity leave position sought for Børnehuset Smedegården's 3-6 year old department.

About our children's house

We are a children's house with approximately 80 lovely children, divided into a 0–2 year department and a 3–6 year department. The departments are located on two sites, connected by a path, and we work consciously with coherence and shared culture across the house. The position is primarily in the 3-6 year house.

In everyday life we ensure children's opportunities for relationship formation and participation pathways through various group communities. All children are part of a small children's community in a weekly learning group or a relationship group, which creates security, present relationships with adults and opportunities for self-determination and participation. In the groups, children also have rich opportunities to engage in democratic processes. In addition, both houses are divided into learning zones.

The educator we are seeking shall collaborate with the 0-2 years department regarding the transition to kindergarten.

• Delves into a curriculum theme that provides professional energy and motivation

The individual employee continually enhances their knowledge within their core competence – both through daily pedagogical work and by participating in subject-relevant courses.

We work with a clear adult structure, planned and made visible for 14 days at a time on a board in the office, so everyone has an overview and shared responsibility.
