About Bakkehuset

Bakkehuset is an integrated institution currently with 70 children, distributed as 20 toddlers and 52 preschool children. Employment takes place at Bakkehuset, and you must be motivated and interested in working with the whole age group from 0-6 years.

We are a self-governing institution located in Felsted, about 10 km southeast of Aabenraa. We have a close collaboration with Felsted School as well as the municipal day-care providers and private childminders in the area. We are housed on a large property with a hilly playground that provides plenty of opportunities for play and movement.

As a certified singing-friendly institution, we work purposefully with music and singing as part of everyday life.

Our vision and goals are that everyone should be part of an inclusive community with a focus on play, learning, development and formation. We create participation opportunities for all across norms, values, and cultural differences.

In close collaboration with the parents, we provide care and support the individual child’s versatile development and self-esteem with the aim of contributing to a good and secure upbringing.

About you

We expect you to be professionally qualified

• to be educated as a pedagogue
• to perform the pedagogical tasks under responsibility to the board and management and in accordance with the Danish Daycare Act as well as applicable goals, policies and guidelines for day-care institutions in Aabenraa Municipality
• to have a focus on inclusion and that both children and adults have equal value
• to be able to reflect on your own practice so that it continually matches the children’s needs
• to have strong communicative competencies and be able to convey professional knowledge to colleagues, parents and collaboration partners
• to have an acknowledging approach to children, parents and colleagues
• to take initiative for the development of pedagogy and daily practice.

Salary and terms of employment

You will be employed under the collective agreement between Local Government Denmark and BUPL as well as the local pay agreement in Aabenraa Municipality.

The positions are 37 hours per week (possibly fewer hours can be agreed) with start on 1 January 2027. (Possibly 1 February 2027)

You will be employed as a pedagogue in our kindergarten.

We would like to point out that a child protection and criminal record check will be obtained prior to employment, and that the employment will be conditional on these being satisfactory.
