We are seeking two engaged and present pedagogues for permanent positions in our nursery. Here you will have the opportunity to put your professional skills into play and contribute to developing the pedagogical practice together with your colleagues.

We work with a low-arousal and sensory approach, where we are aware of how our own calm, presence and way of meeting the children matters for their well-being and participation opportunities.

We believe that children learn through the body, the senses and their own experiences. Therefore we create learning environments where children have the opportunity to explore, experiment, move and experience the world with their whole body.

For us, play is the central activity for the children’s well-being, development and learning. We know that the adult’s active participation in play has great significance for the children’s opportunities to form relationships and develop their competencies.

Therefore we are seeking a pedagogue who can both initiate a play, follow the children's initiatives and be curious about what the children tell us through their actions, bodily expressions and participation.

We have a clear daily structure with fixed planned pedagogical preparation time and a meeting structure where there is room for professional reflection, planning and evaluation of our pedagogical practice.

About Børnehuset Grønttorvet

We are located at Grønttorvet in Valby in a newer building with space for 148 children distributed across five nursery groups and four kindergarten groups.

We are about 30 staff and two pedagogical leaders who together work to create a daily life with safety, play, community and professional development.

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms are in line with the applicable collective agreement.

The positions are generally with employment starting December 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

In connection with the hires, we obtain child and criminal records checks and take references.

In Copenhagen you also get a higher salary as a trained pedagogue than in most municipalities. At www.kk.dk/paedagogloen you can see how much a trained pedagogue earns in the City of Copenhagen.
