About the job

Would you like to help write the next chapter in a school story that is already well underway?

Some workplaces are looking for a leader to keep things on track.

We are looking for a leader who can both hold the course, bring people together, and help to build on something that is already working very well.

At Skovbrynet School we are seeking a pedagogical leader for our SFO and school club. A leader who is passionate about children’s leisure life, strong communities, pedagogical development, and about creating the best conditions for both children and staff.

And you should want to become part of a leadership team where the doors are rarely closed, coffee cups are often full, and where we succeed together.

A school with wind in its sails

Skovbrynet School is a school with strong traditions and high ambitions.

For many years we have delivered solid academic results, while our students thrive very well. In fact, so well that we repeatedly can look forward to very high well-being numbers.

At the same time we are proud of our pronounced musical culture. Every week we gather for morning songs.

We have our own theatre school. We cherish traditions. And we believe that communities are created as much through experiences, creativity and relationships as through timetables and plans.

In the last four years we have experienced a sustained increase in pupil numbers. This applies to both the school’s general area and our group arrangement for children with general learning difficulties.

More families choose us, and we naturally see that as both a privilege and a responsibility.

At the same time it has recently been decided that Skovbrynet School must be preserved. Therefore we now face a number of exciting development projects to be realized in the coming years. Here you will have the opportunity to leave a clear mark on the school’s future.

An important role in the development of the leisure area

In Gladsaxe Municipality there is also a strong political focus on the leisure-time sector.

Therefore one of your main tasks will be to further develop and qualify the many initiatives we have already started.

We have among other things established extensive collaboration with associations and actors in the local area, which gives children new communities, experiences and opportunities. This work should be strengthened further, and we hope you want to lead that development.

We imagine that you

  • have strong pedagogical ambitions on behalf of children
  • see leisure-time pedagogy as an independent and important professional area
  • can set direction without creating unnecessary noise
  • are skilled at developing staff and teams
  • have an eye for both small relationships and the big picture
  • can translate good ideas into concrete practice
  • are willing to collaborate broadly with staff, families, associations and external partners.

You will become part of a strong management community

You will become part of the school’s management team, which consists of three professional leaders and the school principal.

We work closely on a daily basis and therefore also have good knowledge of each other’s tasks, which we continuously address and allocate according to interest and competence.

We brainstorm daily, solve tasks together and share both successes and the challenges that naturally come with working with people.

In addition, we work closely with the head of UNiG and the team leader for our interprofessional team, which consists of staff from both the Family Department and PPR. The team typically works on site at the school two days a week and contributes to creating holistic solutions for children and families.

How we lead

We work from our shared value base.

For us, good leadership is not something that happens behind a closed door.

We believe that employees succeed best when they feel well supported in their task execution and in their professional autonomy. Therefore we strive every day to be:

  • accessible
  • curious
  • trustworthy
  • visible
  • outgoing.

We are not seeking a leader who has all the answers in advance.

We are looking for a leader who is genuinely interested in finding them together with others.

A workplace with high well-being

In spring, we carried out a workplace assessment with very impressive results. We are proud of that.

But we are just as focused on the work that follows. Therefore we continuously work on initiatives to strengthen the collaborative climate and the sense of community among both children and adults.

Come by and feel the atmosphere

Positions like this should not only be read. They should also be experienced.

Therefore you are very welcome to contact us and come by for a cup of coffee and a tour of the school.

Contact the head of school Carsten Bott at 40 33 75 80 for more information.
